Good move but I'm guessing that means Duvall is a better bat off the bench. He's not starting unless Ender or Markakis get moved (highly unlikely, but still)

I’ll take 30 HR power off the bench they might actually use(Tucker had it but they wouldn’t use him for shyt). Gonna be frustrating to see Sims win 20 games next year when he figures his shyt out but he wouldn’t ever get it here so oh well

Is Adam Duvall good

Gabe Burns of the AJC reported that Duvall will start in left field against left-handed pitchers moving forward. Ronald Acuña Jr. will shift to center field, meaning Ender Inciarte will now sit against southpaws.

The 29-year-old outfielder is owed just $200K the rest of the season and has three years of arbitration remaining, giving the Braves control through 2021 should they choose.

You may recall the Braves were interested in acquiring Duvall last winter.

The cost to acquire Duvall was minimal. Wisler and Sims have been given many opportunities to succeed at the big league level with poor results, and Tucker is limited as a bench bat given his defensive deficiencies and struggles against left-handed pitching.

It's a good move for a solid player who we have control over for a few years

I think Tucker and Sims both underperformed due to being used inconsistently. It was really just a numbers game though. All things considered, AA has been excellent since he got here. Problems most of us have had with this team are either us being impatient or Snitker’s loyalties. I’m good if this is our last trade IF he continues to promote aggressively and starts the youth movement with our pitching staff.

Doesn’t that mean only versus lefties? I’m assuming that means vs RHP they will keep the same lineup. Sounds like they are grooming Acuna to possibly be the CF of the future.
