A lot of people come into threads like this with their responses prepared. She doesnt want to be lumped in with light skinned people she sees herself as brown like many other black people. I don't see the problem with that. If society views and treats you as a black person then you're a black person. Skin tone is irrelevant if you're still considered black.
But if people are denouncing it then clearly society isnt all on the same page. Let me ask you would you date a trans?

I’m from the UK so things are different.

But growing up we didn’t call mixed race people ‘light skin’. Mixed race being white and black. That real high yellow complexion of Sade or even a Chris Brown.

So our perception of light skin black people was a bit darker. Will Smith. Like we would’ve considered Jay Z light skin or close.

Brown skin more like Nas.

But now we consider bi racial people black and light skin so that distorts what is light skin

Your talking a whole load of nonesense.
I dont know what uk you are talking about.
No way are biracials black and no way would we have ever considered jayz light skinned

That's lighting and clearly not her natural skin tone. She literally has the sun shining on her in the second pic:mjlol:

How did you go to Google images and cherry pick the photos with light beaming on her? You skipped past the the more naturally lit pictures:stopitslime:

....
I’m medium brown and get called dark skin all the time - when I’m in the middle color range but who cares ...

If light skin wasn’t considered a compliment we wouldn’t even be having this conversation
