Half these nikkas talkin aint black bro.
I used to think nikkas was exaggerating but I'm starting to believe it now
Half these nikkas talkin aint black bro.
I’m from the UK so things are different.
But growing up we didn’t call mixed race people ‘light skin’. Mixed race being white and black. That real high yellow complexion of Sade or even a Chris Brown.
So our perception of light skin black people was a bit darker. Will Smith. Like we would’ve considered Jay Z light skin or close.
Brown skin more like Nas.
But now we consider bi racial people black and light skin so that distorts what is light skin
My fukkin problem is nikkas gettin mad at HER for stating how she feels. Shorty said nothing wrong and honestly this site is full of dummies. Which is why I doubt half the people on this site that claim to be black really are black. It’s a known fact black people come in varying complexions and skin tones and we see it our own family. I have really dark people in my family and really light people but at the end of the day we all black.
Yeah if u believe in the slave masters one drop rule,
Girl, I have always felt like I sat somewhere in the middle but some people swear up and down I'm a light bright. I be so confused.I say the same thing . I don't consider myself light skinned. I have debated the topic many times. lol
Clickbait for black people who obsess over colorism. Why is this article worthy?
I know you remember when people here were calling Phoenix Knightly light skinned. I thought I was in an alternate universe. You & her & around the same complexion & I wouldn't call neither of you light skinned lol
Lol j coles complexion wit two black parents? Ur h0e either cheated, or her parents aint as black as you think. Dont bother reply to menikka my son has 2 BLACK parents and is like J Cole complexion. Which is lighter than Yara Shahidi. This girl and her mom is Nas’ cousins. U sound stupid.
I consider myself in the middle but I can see why someone would say it. Never had a BP even mention my skin tone until I came to the East Coast
100 percent 'black'
What does her identifying as black have to do with anything? I domt even know if she does identify as black.Just for clarification, you guys didn't consider biracially white/black people over there black? But yall do now? When dud the shift in perception occur, and why?
Pure/full/all black never existed in the Western Hemisphere, so from the outset of the transatlantic slave trade that introduced Africans to Europeans and Natives, biracial white/blacks have always been viewed as black over here...
Most Americans of one black parentage identify as black, regardless of what the other parent is. Take this website with a grain of salt, it's a small sample size of how a minority of black people in America view life. Almost nobody with two black parents is "fully black", so this is a relative new thing to excommunicate biracial blacks from our community. There are biracial who choose not to identify as black, but trust me on this, they are in the extreme minority over here...
Amen to that...
It has nothing to do with the slave masters and everything to do with how people view themselves. Yara identifies as black, why does that bother people?
U a dumb muthafukka. That’s all there is to it. Do u have ur own kids? I bet u dont. Only hoe is ya moms. And she birthed a hoe ass nikka. U dont know shyt about black americans. Stick to crumpets u British faggit.Lol j coles complexion wit two black parents? Ur h0e either cheated, or her parents aint as black as you think. Dont bother reply to me
Where are you originally from, I thought you were from DMV?
I second this though, I mentioned several times on here that race wasn't a topic of discussion in my youth, the way it became when I starting hitting the East Coast (mostly NY and the Carolinas)...
Does not exist in America, you brothers and sisters are smarter than that...
