Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster
LeBron is getting paid just like the McDonald's worker.......by a white man (jew). This n***a ain't gonna combat the powers that be and the hand that feeds him. He's enjoyed elite status in his life being an entertainer for the NBA. He isn't in a black owned league for a reason. He's been willing to speak up on other situations (albeit a little cautiously) so he's not totally removed consciously, but he knows his boundaries :francis:

Imo if black public celebrities wanna support "the cause" from some vantage point, it should be a monetary one, especially while they're still active and playing "the game".

Exactly, his quasi militant twitter thumbs got him in this ditch in the first place.

Hope he can take the heat. No former team.

He's lying.

He don't want to piss off white anerica

He is. But that shyt a huge cross to have homie. Like I said this ain't the 60s. When Ali took his stand folks all around the country sent him money (and letters as support). There were athletes right there with him behind him when he made his stance.

We damn well know Lebron make a stand aint no one standing behind him.

These punks in the league all about to eat good off of the cap increase which is directly because of revenue he, Wade and Bosh generated and ratings they gave ESPN by forming a super team. Yet jokers all over the league hated on dudes and they were left out in the cold.

Yet again these kats hated for years but about to rep the benefits from this new salary cap.

Also I want to point out something. Dave Zirin even brought this up years ago. During the civil unrest in the 60s the media and activist actually would ask white athletes and entertainers about the civil issues and if they would take a stand. Not all but some did......fast forward to today and the media and activist have dropped the ball on this very issue.

Think how many times issues concerning America and how black American entertainers are always asked to address this. But white entertainers are almost never asked shyt and get off on softball questions.

Edit- it is like black Americans are used as a gauge of America's moral conscious when it comes to social issues. You know they love to show black Americans as the symbol of forgiveness and spirituality like we all some magical negros.

LeBron is an athlete. He plays sports, I know he's a huge name, but I'm not sure why everyone expects him to be the symbol for change and for justice. He has worn shirts regarding "ICantBreathe" and when they first interviewed him he didn't know what the shirts meant, he just knew it was an issue. Would it be good if someone as big as LeBron protested against the injustice in the Tamir Rice case? Yes. But I don't know why everyone expects that from him.

Lol at people who say it wouldn't make any difference.

:duck:
As far as the criminal justice system, it won't. You want to affect the criminal justice system? Arrange a boycott of people WHO ACTUALLY WORK IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM. As a lawyer I can tell you, if the support staff and courthouse workers boycotted, there would be a huge impact on DAY 1.

wow this is incredibly cowardly of lebron. like how the fukk don't he have all the facts :mindblown: so if lebron Jr got his brains blown out by the cops would he not have all the facts? :scust:
You're comparing him keeping up with the facts on the shooting of a stranger, to the killing of his own son? For real?

Props to King James for his past efforts and future efforts for being socially conscious

I don't like that they singling him out, while other athletes and entertainers are left alone. That's how you keep people quiet because you're now placing the spotlight only on him

Fawk those in this thread that are using this wrongful singling out as an excuse for their own lack of commitment or comfort with straddling the fence on social issues cause they worried about their own shyt. But claiming they want change, while not minding others to do the sacrificing

To encourage more folks willing to speak up, you must support them while they are becoming conscious and really support when they are being punished for those conscious stances. But instead we have labels of fake militants and fake outrage to encourage complacency

Bingo

If they want him to stick his neck out then let some other of his peers be prepared to come together with him and sacrifice money, endure public ridicule and hatred and the other accompanying fallout

Because when it comes down to it most of you will get your opinion from whatever First Take says on the matter........and I am not even fronting on that..

What's crazy to me is that some posters on this sight equate their anonymous internet militancy with being one of the most recognizable people in the world.

On some shyt like "I'm not standing for this bullshyt...check my post history. LeBron a bytch for not standing up like me"

Im sorry, I know this is a serious subject, but I cant help but laugh.

Exactly this shyt is stupid. These fools asking one man to carry the cross. See in the 60s they asked everyone to carry the cross. If someone took a stand and was penalized everyone else would chip in and help them or their family out.

These fools now a day asking one kat to make all the sacrifices and ain't gonna do shyt to help out if the shyt blow up in folks faces.

Also during the civil rights movement regular folks were asked to sacrifice then once they put in the work they would then ask entertainers.

shyt I would have more respect if these kats asked black Cavs fans to stop supporting the team. Then stood outside the stadium and convinced the black fans not to come to the games. After they did that then they could focus on black Cavs workers to boycott work and then after that focus on Lebron boycotting games.

At least if they took that approach I would respect their decision to ask Lebron to sit out games.

Fantastic post
