all I know is that Halo:Reach's DLC got significantly better once Bungie wasn't involved anymore and Halo 4 was a decent game

there is plenty to complain about in Destiny 2, like why is there no matchmaking for campaign in 2019?

We need to discuss how Bungie has God tier lawyers.

Negotiated a deal to buy themselves back from Microsoft, and didn't get their talent roster completely gutted, leaving Microsoft to build a new studio to work on Halo going forward.

Left a teaser for Destiny in their last Halo project.

Above point means they may have started early work on Destiny while at minimum getting paid by Microsoft for their final Halo projects.

Got out of the Activision deal early, AND kept the Destiny IP/publishing rights

Secured funding for, and began early development for their next non Activision project while still working under the Activision deal.

It's not often you see Activision essentially get finessed with no getback. :wow:
I disagree with most of what you said :francis:

They didn't "buy themselves from Microsoft because Microsoft STILL has a minority stock in Bungie :banderas:

They didn't get out of the Activision deal early, even though that is what was reported :yeshrug:

The funding they got for future projects? A Chinese company put 100mil into them, and those markets are PC country so IDK what to expect...

:mjlol: Tess Everis strikes again
That Tess Everis backlash was blown out of proportion. :stopitslime:
Morons called the game "pay to win" based on the game having one merchant that sells cosmetic items.
People can hate the game for other reasons if they like but that "pay to win" talk was flat out lies.

They went from being a wholely owned subsidiary to an independent studio with Microsoft as a minority investor. That's buying yourself back, breh.

No matter how you look at it, they don't fukk we think Activision, and got to keep the IP that Activision basically funded this far.

Also, TenCent owns a big chunk of Epic, and FortNite blew up primarily by being a free PS4 game. No true AAA game will be a PC exclusive. The return on investment just isn't worth excluding console audiences.

I'm curious as to why you feel they need matchmaking for the campaign missions? The campaigns in Destiny have been laughably easy, especially if done with people in your fireteam. I hope they make campaigns more difficult going forward.

People are also wishing for Anthem's campaign to be a solo outing.:skip:

If Destiny PVE taught me anything its that people don't know how fukking trash they are

Nothing like joining into a strike in progress, mopping everything up in under 5 minutes, clearing out, then looking on the Mission Summary screen and seeing that those two people you helped out had been there for half an hour - followed by a friend request saying "please join my clan :mjcry:"
