Microsoft has offered Sony a 10-year contract to make each new "Call of Duty" release available on PlayStation the same day it comes to Xbox, according to an opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal on Monday from a Microsoft executive.

Any concessions from Microsoft would no doubt be the same or at least similar to what it’s reportedly offering in Europe. In order to receive approval, it’s apparently willing to make a formal commitment to keep Call Of Duty (one of the biggest sticking points about the entire ordeal) available on PlayStation for another 10 years.

Hopefully Sony has that checkbook ready for a worst case scenario.

Because if this deal goes through they will need to throw an insane amount of money around to try and offset that loss. These publishers are heartless too so you already know Square, Capcom, Ubisoft etc. are waiting to tax them for content.

Good hopefully Sony brings back SOCOM or at the very least go back to dropping games like they did in the Ps2 era. They seem caught up in the big western single player games.
