I Keep the Same Energy on Speech, Censorship, 1st Amendment, because the principle of free speech outweighs any opposing rebuttals by miles

I'm going to repeat my stance on speech for the 50-11th time, which has not wavered.

Censorship of people you don't like leads to censorship of people you do like or are ok with.

What part of this don't you comprehend?

The other day Facebook/Twitter simultaneously removed 800 pages/accounts, they weren't just conservative pages they included liberal pages too like anti-police brutality pages/accounts.

There are a lot of Black Israelite and Louis Farrakhan supporters or at the minimum listeners on the coli. Going down this continued road of censorship of "harsh speech"....these specific Black/African American voices will be eliminated from Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc. After this Pittsburgh situation, it's obvious any critical speech of Khazreal or any related history lessons or perspectives are being considered for censorship on platforms. Gab, which is just a social media site, not an alt-right site is just on the Summer Jam Screen now, and being used as an example. Listening to "aggressive speech" does not equate to violence, unless you are literally threatening someone. Explaining truths that aren't in the mainstream media does not equate to someone committing violence. Yet, this is the justification being thrown around to continue to censor more voices, left, right, and independent. They are going to get to the point, where they are going to whip up Congress to "act".........and that means literally filtering the web. If yall can't see these chess moves, it's because you want to be dense.

Senator Mark Warner already has a bill ready to go where he wants internet ID...that's right ..ID verification required to access the Internet.

Is that what you want?

In another thread, they were talking about Bolsanaro's win in Brazil as bad for the Amazon rainforest, because he apparently has a Trump mindset, where it's moneymaking and deregulation over science, environment, and sustainable development. It sounds like he would support cutting down every tree in the Amazon like a maniac. Well guess what? This year, the Brazilian government approved an internet censorship law. Which means Bolsanoro has a new tool to control the flow of information, especially, for instance silencing voices that want to protect the Anazon rainforest and it's importance to indigenous people, plant/animal species, and the entire globe. So now Bolsanoro can censor voices he doesn't like, and the same type of stuff is happening in Europe, the U.S., China, and around the world.

This is bigger than the U.S., censorship of speech, content or substance be damned unless it's literal threats of violence, is harmful to all of us.

I can't explain my position on speech better than that

Yeah, your stance sounds good in theory. But in reality it's flawed. It's based on an assumption that the white powers that be could give a fukk about upholding the Constitution or free speech or whatever principles when it comes to black people.

With even just a little history knowledge or current events awareness, it's already been clear that the Constitution or any of the principles go out the window when white supremacists want to harm black people.

There were already Constitutional and other legal/moral principles America claims to embrace in place that should've prevented the Gov from injecting black people with diseases (Tuskegee), or ended the modern day prison slavery that still exists, or prevented the countless other atrocities committed against blacks.

If the Gov wants to harm black people, they've already shown a willingness to drop all claimed principles in order to do it. Over and over. Standing up for white supremacists thinking that they will return the favor and uphold the principles for you is misguided. Blacks as a group have been the most consistent in upholding the true principles white America claims to care about, yet have their rights violated the most.

If we as black people give up on the principles in Bill of Rights, regardless of how obviously flawed and discriminatory the system has been and still is in many ways, then we literally might as well just go back into slavery. I mean literally, the Bill of Rights is the only thing protecting you, me and every other American from arbitrary use of power....which equals tyranny or dictatorial power.

White supremacy is a part of the system no doubt..but in 30 - 35 years non-Hispanic whites will be a minority...the largest minority yes, but still under 50% of the population. So regardless of what race is dominating the system, we should be seeking universal justice and human dignity and the Bill of Rights is a cotdamn good document for doing just that.

We all know the system is flawed, and that's why we continually have Supreme Court decisions that hopefully and critically align with protecting our
rights..so I ask you one simple question........what substitute do you have for the Bill of Rights???

There already is arbitrary use of power against blacks. Damn near a third of black males have a felony record largely due to arbitrary use of power (enforcement powers.) We also get longer sentences (arbitrary use of the power to sentence and incarcerate.) Not to mention the disparities in police use of force (arbitrary use of power.)

A Modern Day Slave Plantation Exists, and It's Thriving in the Heart of America
Report: black men get longer sentences for the same federal crime as white men

I agree with you 300,000% the system is flawed, and absolutely still floating in vestiges of white supremacy.

Even with that, the Bill of Rights, and to be specific to this thread and stay on topic, the 1st Amendment provides us rights that .... I personally think ...... we should continue to advance and work to protect. The system is flawed, but again, do you have solutions outside of obviously diminishing the prison-industrial complex and obviously legalizing cannabis? Do you gave a substitute for Bill of Rights?

Staying on topic do you have a substitute for the 1st and 2nd Amendment? Are you ok if we just got rid of both of them?

No I don't and I don't think we should get rid of them.

To stay on topic, I just disagree with the idea that defending white supremacists' free speech makes white people more likely to defend blacks' free speech as well.

They already arbitrarily put us in cages and kill us, so I'm inclined to believe that if they want to ban black people on internet platforms, they will ban black people.

You gotta look at the bigger picture. You think the only white supremacists are on Gab? You even said it yourself.....The System.....which is made up of professionals that don't go on Gab is still locking up black men for smoking a MJ blunt in 2018 in some states.

So it's not about defending white supremacist....it's about the principle of free speech. We don't care if an overt white supremacist supports pro-black voices on the internet (although they should be anti-censorship too if they are wise), we just should understand that free speech as a principle is what we should support.

That's just my personal opinion, because it's obvious. I just stated a few posts up, Facebook/Twitter deleted anti-police brutality pages/accounts a few weeks back.

Really not only should we just recognize that censorship is not good, but the main thing is to build our own systems at the same time. That duplicative effort is really the way forward.

Is he still complaining about white supremacists losing platforms to monetize their hate speech?

Yes.

Nope. Never. Nazis and Alex Jones getting their shyt pushed in does not mean good and reasonable people will get thrown out too.

So anti-police brutality and anti-war websites are not reasonable people??

Facebook/Twitter just censored these pages_accounts a few days ago...

READ the COMMENTS in THIS VIDEO full of Liberal/Progressive and Independents. Yall think I'm the only one saying this??
:gucci:

....but when I say speech across the political/ideological spectrum is being censored I'm just crying and making it up .... ok :aicmon:

Notice how my energy stays the same on this topic. I don't waver, left, right, independent. I"m always talking about the principle of free speech and how censoring is anathema to that.
