I come to the coli and I play with alot of you we all play the same games so you know what I am talking about.Not just Basketball, Madden and most sports games in particular .Im going to tell a story real quick and I know it will sound familiar cause we all been through this one way or another so let me paint this picture and yall tell me what you think.

I have been playing 2k since 2k on the dreamcast I like to think I know how to play after all these years.I play against one of my boys alot he is a Laker fan been a ride or die laker fan as long as I known him.Our matchup right now is 15-9(Yeah we keep records round here nygga)I can take a loss no problem it is what it is.After he wins he acts like he won the damn championship whether he won by 20 or 1.Aight he wants to be a sore winner thats fine but this nygga is the worst sore loser I have ever seen in my life I swear on my mothers grave after every loss I get a goddamn Ipod playlist about how I played and what I did etc etc.

Long story short he beat me once last night and he is doing his chest thumping whatever and here is how the convo went:

Donkey= 'Listen you won thats great and everything but dont think you are nice,it takes no skill to do what you do with the Lakers.You playing with a goddamn all star team against me and you beating your chest like you nice.You aint shyt breh real talk"

nikka it's 2012. There has been all star teams in 2k for years. You know what you getting into as soon as you see what team they picked. For you to even continue pass the loading screen you have no right to complain that you lost.



It's the same shyt with fighters. There is top tiers and there are the rest. You have every oppertunity to play with the best character in the game. You CHOSE not to. That's your choice. But don't hate on the people that do pick the best. All in all the better player is most likely going to win anyway. When you pick a lower ranked team your CHOOSING to have to play harder then the people who pick the lakers/heat etc. So don't complain when you failed to do so

I agree with your friend it still takes some kind of skill to play with the lakers or the heat, I get beat soundly picking these teams (I'll keep it real I suck at sports games). But if your friend has no skill because of using these teams your record against him should be 24-0, though if he a die hard laker fan I can't fault dude for using them it's those gamers that knowingly can't stand the lakers but pick them with the quickness in video games.

I run with the Pacers, but if I play against Miami, I choose LA and Vice Versa. It's ridiculous how good they made Dwight, Nash and Kobe. Then Bron can just get the ball on the inbounds and run straight through the hole and dunk, regardless of whats going on down there.

So I run with Indiana unless I play the Lakers or Miami. And Miami is a lot easier to stop than LA so sometimes I'll just run with the Pacers on then too.

See im glad you bought up fighters cause with fighters its easier to explain.If im playing lets say Justin Wong in MVC3 I pick all the worst characters and he picks all the best characters and i beat him. Wouldnt I get more props cause I beat him with a worse team?

if your playing against some scrub using a top ranked team then you should be able to get the win. if you lose and they weren't cheesing, then you're just not as good as you thought you were.

Not really cause in Marvel everyone is broken(besides Hsien-ko and Phoenix Wright) But in all actuality if you beat Justin Wong yes you would get props. But not cause you played a lesser team. Just simply cause of the fact you beat Justin Wong


Im in the fighting game scene heavy(Was even invited to particapte in Curleh Mustach 5 on Nov 24th) And this train of thought is laughed at. In every game there will always be "the best" Wether this is about characters,gun loadouts,teams, hell even perks and items. Something will always be considered the "best" or "cheap" However it's part of the game. For you to play any game competitively your agreeing to accept the game for what it is. So either use the best or figure out a way to beat the best with whatever your using.









Also food for thought. Justin wong doesn't even use the best characters in the game for Marvel or SF.

The difference between a garbage character specialist who has top level skill and someone like yourself is that those type of people usually recognize their character is trash, that it's their decision to use that trash, shuts the fukk up, and deals with it.

They don't put the blame on someone else. Those who do have a masochistic-like way of approaching competitive gaming that I just can't respect. Why torture yourself by purposely using poor options when there are superior options available? If you choose to do so, cool. Just keep your mouth shut when you lose.

The most annoying thing in competitive gaming is those who use inferior characters/teams and proceeds to whine and moan when they lose to superior characters/teams.

Getting mad at your boy for using the Lakers is just bytch-like behavior. The nikka plays to win. Plus, like everyone else said, if you're truly better than your friend, him using the Lakers shouldn't matter all that much.

The Lakers being overpowered doesn't come into play unless you're facing someone who is highly skilled and you're on their level using a shyttier team.

A great player using the Bobcats should annihilate a bad player using the Heat 90% of the time if not always. If this isn't the case, you're just not as good as you think you are.

I used to get mad at this shyt too, just practice with a team you like/learn the best counter for that great team. All teams have weaknesses, they not ALL perfect.

If you good, you can win with any team (unless the computer hulks up on you )
