Just because they have the money, it doesn't meant they have to take a shytty deal.

AT&T was looking to dip in someone's pockets for four billion, and then dip in again for probably something in the billion(s) range for licensing properties, too.

If either they brought the price down, or included some IP, this deal would've been done.

You make a great point, but here's why you're 100% wrong. You have never been an Xbox gamer. Any good Xbox game because you're a clownfish you assume nothing is good. They've had excellent franchises since the og Xbox. You haven't played none of that because you're an idiot

This get Microsoft decided to move away from 1st party and focus on 2nd and 3rd party titles. Sony buys exclusivity, Xbox felt it could help other devs develop instead of investing in their in projects. Ryse, Quantum break, Sunset overdrive. Even titles you'd think are first party like killer instinct was made by other companies and not rare. Halo infinite is struggling because they tried to outsource development. They tried to streamline the business model and it didn't work.

So now they back to business, and they doing everything you praise Sony exclusives for. Games that have a big budget and take years to create. Xbox doing that now with a lot of the people who created your favorite games and you're acting as if they haven't been here before.
