Speaking of which this motherfukker Maxwell needs to stop fukking around and release some music :beli:

Co-sign, thought Black Summers Night was supposed to be the start of a trilogy...

Anyways, seeing how rare this D'Angelo release is I'm going to my music joint that deal with the independent and mainstream. Dude that work there ordered 1 copy of Weeknd Trilogy and sold it to me a week early, gotta see if they got the scoop on this new D'Angelo, Best Buy might not cut it.

from what I've been hearin' for years now, d'angelo has moved in another direction with his sound.

a lot more guitars this go round. more funk and rock sound :blessed:

I can fukk with that - Let old boy bring what he learned in 14 years to the table. I'm sure I heard Quest was on drums at least on a couple of times.

Gonna have to give up my evening to watch this again:

oh yeah. along with workin' with quest here and there, he's been tourin' and workin' with jesse johnson of the time! :mjcry:

i think this album is gonna be completely different from brown sugar and voodoo but that's a good thing, a really good thing. it's about change and progession

music is suppose to express a time, an era and a particular mood and or feel. d'angelo has so much to talk about, i mean it's been 14 years since his last album and then with everythin' goin' on in the world today :wow:

yeah, that redbull interview he did with nelson george was great. it was great to hear him speak on the music and music in general :salute:

all of his covers are always great (from smokey's cruisin' to roberta flack's "feel like makin' love")

his recent cover work has been incredible :damn:

check out this cover he did of funkdelic's "soul mate"

he's also covered david bowie's "space oddity"

a cover of s.o.s band's "tell me if you still care"

a cover of parliament's "I've been watching you (move you sexy body)"

his cover of the beatles "she came in threw the bathroom window"

Mo Better Blues is one of my all time favourite films.

I got to meet Branford Marsalis a couple of years ago :mjcry:. He was mad cool.
Clarke & Indigo :ohlawd:

My band's last album was heavily influenced by that flick.
