Voodoo was so cold
Whenever I read/hear this guy's name, this song autoplays in the back of my head
Not this slowed down version though
Voodoo was so cold
Speaking of which this motherfukker Maxwell needs to stop fukking around and release some music
So ready to hear the new piff. Soulquarian sound back?
from what I've been hearin' for years now, d'angelo has moved in another direction with his sound.
a lot more guitars this go round. more funk and rock sound
I can fukk with that - Let old boy bring what he learned in 14 years to the table. I'm sure I heard Quest was on drums at least on a couple of times.
Gonna have to give up my evening to watch this again:
oh yeah. along with workin' with quest here and there, he's been tourin' and workin' with jesse johnson of the time!
i think this album is gonna be completely different from brown sugar and voodoo but that's a good thing, a really good thing. it's about change and progession
music is suppose to express a time, an era and a particular mood and or feel. d'angelo has so much to talk about, i mean it's been 14 years since his last album and then with everythin' goin' on in the world today
yeah, that redbull interview he did with nelson george was great. it was great to hear him speak on the music and music in general
all of his covers are always great (from smokey's cruisin' to roberta flack's "feel like makin' love")
his recent cover work has been incredible
check out this cover he did of funkdelic's "soul mate"
he's also covered david bowie's "space oddity"
a cover of s.o.s band's "tell me if you still care"
a cover of parliament's "I've been watching you (move you sexy body)"
his cover of the beatles "she came in threw the bathroom window"
I found the recording from Le Zenith just after the show
Still can't believe he just came through in the clutch like this...
i know bruh
great avatar by the way, mo better blues is 1 of my favorite spike lee joints.
i had the biggest crush on cynda williams back then
still would smash too
