There was too much focus on abortion. Firstly, too much blame/credit was given to Trump for the fall of Roe v. Wade. He just happened to be in the White House when three vacancies arose. So he got to appoint three Republicans to the Supreme Court. If George Bush would have had that opportunity, Roe v. Wade would have fallen back then. That's one of the basic tenets of the Republican party. NO ABORTIONS. Trump doesn't deserve the blame/credit that he was getting for it. The fall of a womans right to choose was not a Trump thing, it was a REPUBLICAN thing. Democrats can say what they want about it taking away womens rights, but the fact that is there are MILLIONS OF WOMEN in this country who are ok with it. That should be evident in the fact that Dems "blame" Trump for the fall of Roe v. Wade, and he happily takes "credit" for it.
Sure there are women who are concerned about losing their right to choose. But there are also A LOT who may want to maintain the right to choose BUT, it's not the first or even the second or third most important issue on their minds. There are others who are indifferent. And then of course there are MILLIONS of women in this country who actually WANT women to lose the right to choose.
While there are different opinions on abortion, pretty much EVERYBODY wants more money in their pockets. Now I think a lot of what Trump is promising to do to help the economy won't work or may even backfire, but if he's promising to lower taxes significantly, even if its disproportionately for rich people, that something everyone can relate to.
