I thought that too, but I let it go because I loved that movie as a kid and appreciated the reference.

The casting was perfect for this show as everyone from the main characters to the bit players are killing their roles. If this doesn't lead to some awards I would be more than shocked. Like bruh said above the only "weak'' episode was when the friend visited and even that wasn't bad at all.

Most shows don't come this good out the gate. Even modern classics like The Office and Parks & Recreation had bad first seasons. The only recent sitcom I remember coming out this hot is Modern Family.

I can't wait till season 2. It'll be even better once they fix some of their weaknesses (over reliance on looking at the camera; similar situation every week of Quinta being overly optimistic about changing things then getting knocked down a peg). I thought the "work friends" episode was a good, unique but relatable concept. More of that is sure to come.
