Couldn't tell you cuz I'm not really a big fan of Soul. I know the consensus was Control System is his best effort and had his dopest stuff.

I think this could actually dethrone it but I gotta sit with it a little bit more.

I forgot what These Days even sounded like and I never checked for any of his tapes.

This is also one of the best mixed albums of the year. Ali is amazing. If you're a nerd about shyt like that...this is your album. I watched a couple interviews and Soul mentioned the delays were largely due to mixing, and him wanting a specific sound. He mentioned TPAB as an influence. I don't give a fukk what you think about TPAB as an album, it's undeniable that it's one of the best mixed albums in the last decade. And this album gives me similar vibes man.....

Man yesterday I was listening to Cole's album and couldn't help but note how ehh it sounds in terms of the mixing. It's just...there, nothing special. Then today hearing Soul's album is like night and day. Not hating on Cole, his album has some interesting parts. But still...
