If they weren't going to take a cap hit, I could see them cutting ties with him and trade him for some good players and picks. But it would be stupid on their part to trade him because as some media members have said "they owe it to him."

But it also seems like GB is purposely trying to flex their power in the situation. I still think they should've drafted Tee Higgins or JK last year, and Love was drafted based on the fact that they were worried about the future. I could understand Rodgers getting frustrated about that. He'll, even the first 2 picks this year were head scratching.

Stokes was taken 1st cause the Packers have no CBs besides Jaire in 2022. Myers the C taken cause Linsley signed with the Chargers. This draft is plugging gaping holes whereas last year they were taking guys at positions of strength.

Anyway, Rodgers was caught at the Kentucky Derby. Didn't want to talk to NBC on camera but talked to Tirico off camera.

He’s not a FA so Any team That trades for him is gonna have to gut the roster making it worse than GB. Like right now GB has a top 5 offensive line, the best WR in football, a top ten RB and TE and an above average defense.

Let’s look at Denver, they have a top 5 level defense but worse on offense.

If I’m GB and you want Rodgers I’m gonna want your 1st and 2nd the next years, Jerry Juedy, Surtain who you just drafted, and Chubb. So Denver would lose its number 1 WR and it’s best pass rusher at this point. Not to mention you Are playing in the same division as the chiefs

like i said rodgers is what almost 38, packers have all the power when you are that old. If Rodgers doesn't show up he doesn't get paid and then they go with jordan love.

He's got the same agent as Carson Palmer, they already have the blueprint for this situation - threaten to retire if he's not traded.

Palmer stayed home until the Raiders came and got him in October of that season, Rodgers won't have an issue doing the same if he's dead-set on never playing for them again.

Aaron would lose a lot more money than Carson Palmer did if he decided to sit out

His only option really is to go to the TO playbook and just start acting a goddamn fool

If he's hurting for money, then sure that would dictate his move - I never got that vibe from him like ponzi scheme Brees :mjlol:

That makes his threat even more viable. Like you said, he's 38 - he's already secured hundreds of millions, won a SB, won MVPs, cemented his spot as a Hall Of Famer. Rodgers has a lot of endeavors outside of football, I'd believe him if he said he was walking away.

At that point Green Bay would just be acting stubborn, they already drafted his replacement and told him his leash is short. RIP the band-aid off and move on.
