You can be wrong and right at the same time. Decorum won't sway any white person towards respect when the stereotypical ws propaganda also takes care of that image. The accountability should come from within,not for the appeasement of whites and their take on our plight. I think that negative stereotypes have something of a Stockholm syndrome effect where the identity of self has become indistinguishable from the propaganda. If you lived long enough or have elders that did you would know/seen that most of what is considered authentic culture was purposely fabricated to glorify this depiction of what black poverty (financial and spiritual) looks like to white people. It's like going to see a movie and coming out the theater with a new identity based off what somebody that has no knowledge of your depth told you to be . Approval or respect from somebody that has never really known me is the last thing I want or need but we have to hold each other accountable for the dumb shyt.

Barack Obama was light skinned, ivy league educated, a wordsmith who even wrote some of his own speeches, was never seen in public wearing anything other than business, formal, or business-casual wear.

And yet they called him all sorts of slurs and literally tried to make him a one term president. It doesn't matter how peaceful, responsible, stable, educated and law abiding you are. White people have decided to take everything they hate about themselves and humanity and graft that on to us. They are so lazy they wanted slaves to work their fields and yet they call us lazy. They promote incompetent people to high positions in business and politics while calling us stupid. They commit massive fraud and violent crime whilst calling us dishonest. They abandon their children, beat their wives, and kill the whole family while calling our men deadbeat dads and thugs.

We are a scape goat for all their flaws and bad choices. Rather than admit that they make bad decisions and do bad things, they want to pretend that it's somehow our fault that they do things that are against their own interests. There is no criteria under which they'd ever come to see us as equal if we serve the purpose of validating their collective narcissism and self-serving falsehoods they use to pump their fragile egos.

Almost half of them also voted for him twice...

You can't take that out of the equation.

Don't limit to just asking at the Fed level. Since slavery wasn't legal in very state you need to start at the state level. But I know that doesn't get the same eyes as it does by asking at the more local levels.

This is where I’ve been for years: complete apathy. I was overly militant in my younger years but I’ve come to accept that the majority truly don’t want to better themselves.

And I’m completely fine with that. Why expend my energy and emotions on helping those that don’t want to help themselves?

Most black folk don’t want to end white supremacy, they either want a seat at the table or to just be comfortable under oppression.

I now understand why so many activists just say “fukk it” eventually. You spend all those years building a sand castle just for a sea of ignorance to wash it away.
