Jailhouse Friend Seeks Hernandez’s Suicide Note

A jailhouse friend of Aaron Hernandez says one of three notes the former NFL star left in his cell before killing himself was addressed to him.

Lawrence Army, a lawyer for inmate Kyle Kennedy, said late Monday he’s requested the note be turned over to this client, who has not yet seen it.

Prison officials didn’t immediately comment.

Army declined to describe Kennedy’s relationship to Hernandez but said through a spokesman that Kennedy was not his cellmate and had been placed on suicide watch at the maximum-security prison in Massachusetts as a precaution. Army said Kennedy is no longer on suicide watch.

Authorities have said Hernandez left the notes before he hanged himself Wednesday, but they’ve declined to say who they were addressed to or what the notes said.

Aaron Hernandez Asked to Shack Up With Prison ‘Lover’: Report

Aaron Hernandez once asked prison authorities to let him shack up with his alleged jailhouse lover in his cell, according to a report Tuesday.

But officials turned down the former NFL star’s request to share his two-person cell at the maximum-security Souza-Baranowski Corrections Center with 22-year-old Kyle Kennedy.

“Aaron Hernandez had requested to the prison that my client, Kyle Kennedy, be his cellmate,” Lawrence Army Jr., managing partner of the Boston law firm Army & Roche, told the Daily Mail.

Kennedy, who was one of three people for whom Hernandez left a letter before hanging himself in his cell last week, wasn’t opposed to moving in with the ex-football star, Army said, adding, “If he was going to be in with someone else, why not Aaron Hernandez?”

Hernandez’s cellmate request, which he made last September, was initially approved — but the prison’s superintendent ultimately decided the former New England Patriots tight end shouldn’t share a cell with another inmate.

Hernandez’s lawyer, José Baez, has insisted, “Rumors of a letter to a gay lover, in or out of prison, are false.”

Somebody wanted to be sure he didn't become an antihero of sorts. The man is dead committed suicide, why not just leave it at that. Claiming he was gay years after the murder in the public space is an obvious effort to further sully his reputation. Really disgusting tbh.

sully his stellar rep as a psycopathic murderer?

Tell me ur joking. The only ppl who would "look up" to him were ppl heading down the same path as him.

It could make perfect sense that part of the reason he did the stuff he did was to cover things he didnt want ppl to know.

Whatever, here in Chicago white people regularly have Al Capone parties, miss me with the crocodile tears, a lot of hypocrisy going on here. Hernandez abode by the street code, simple as that. Don't take no sh*t, snitches get stitches, and ride on your enemies. In fact, he lived by the G code so much he sacrificed his career over it. He was most definitely an antihero before all this gay sh*t came out.

:russ:

He was a PCP junkie who shot people out of paranoia. And then had to continue shooting people over paranoia of getting caught.

G Code? This nikka was murdering unarmed civilians.

Man, that shyt is different and u KNOW it. Al Capone, Jesse James, all that old world stuff is different.

Those ppl were killers, but theirs was glorified decades later. Some felt they were bucking against the system and authorities. Matter of fact that happened with most criminals from long long time ago.

It's different now. Nobody looked up to Hernandez bc he "stuck to the code" Not even he himself believed that shyt anymore and that's why he killed himself. Some G code...

“I THINK I’M GOING TO HANG IT UP, LOL”: AARON HERNANDEZ NOTE TO PRISON BOYFRIEND
Aaron Hernandez knew his prison boyfriend before either of them was locked up, says the attorney for that inmate.

At a press conference Wednesday in Worcester, Massachusetts, Lawrence F. Army Jr., the lawyer representing 22-year-old Kyle Kennedy, also said that three weeks before Hernandez hanged himself, the former New England Patriots tight end wrote his client a note that may have hinted at his suicidal thoughts, saying, “I think I’m going to hang it up, lol.”

Army confirmed that Kennedy was put on “eyeball to eyeball” suicide watch by prison officials and kept in an isolation cell after Hernandez’s body was discovered last week. He claimed his client had exhibited no suicidal tendencies, and had been released from isolation after two days, but then put back in after his relationship with Hernandez was revealed in news reports.

The lawyer added that his client did not think Hernandez was suicidal after receiving that cryptic note, and was devastated to learn that the one-time NFL star had taken his own life on April 19 at Souza Baranowski Correctional Center.

Multiple law enforcement sources told Newsweek that Kennedy, who is serving time for robbing a gas station with a butcher knife, was Hernandez’s prison boyfriend. Army did not deny that characterization, and confirmed that Kennedy and Hernandez had requested that they be allowed to share a cell. He also said Kennedy was the intended recipient of one of the three notes Hernandez left next to an opened Bible in his cell. The other two were for Hernandez’s fiancé and daughter.

Army said the two men knew each other “through correspondence prior to Kennedy’s stint,” in prison. Hernandez, Army said, was so close to Kennedy that he’d allegedly promised to gift him a custom-made $47,000 watch that is currently being held by the prison’s property clerk. Army showed a picture of Hernandez alongside NFL players Maurkice and Mike Pouncey wearing the watch, which he bought in Las Vegas.

"Aaron had told him that arrangements would be made for that gift to be sent to him when he was on the outside, or, alternatively, from a member of his inner circle to be delivered to my client's family," Army said.

The lawyer said Hernandez’s relationship with Kennedy was well-known, and discussed in letters the two exchanged—some in what Army called “code”—and others Hernandez sent to Kennedy’s father and siblings. Army showed a portion of one of those letters at the press conference.

The lawyer says Kennedy plans to talk about his very close relationship with Hernandez—who had been writing to Kennedy’s family since 2016—once he is released from a segregated unit of the prison.

“Any discussions relating to that relationship will come directly from his mouth so there is no confusion,” Army said.

Hernandez’s sexuality first emerged as an issue during the investigation into the murder of Odin Lloyd in June 2013. (Hernandez was convicted to life in prison for that crime.) Multiple law enforcement sources told Newsweek that Lloyd knew about an intimate relationship the NFL player had with a male high school friend and that Hernandez feared he would reveal that information to his girlfriend, who was the sister of Hernandez’s fiancé.

The strangest thing is that why would KENNEDY be put on suicide watch? And don't they read the letters in prison? They didn't know Hernandez was potentially suicidal? Kennedy knows something they want to make sure that he is under control before they release him, sh*t kray. A lot of weird paranormal activity going on in that jail :pachaha:

thats says something about those people, imo.

A lot of the brehs in this thread were celebrating Hernandez for killing someone but now turning against him because he apparently bisexual is weird as fukk.

Not really. Plenty of murderers are celebrated/glorified in the hip hop community. It's the gay shyt that will cause people to really shyt on him.
