Olhem tamu a vi!
Look out 'cause we comin'! *translation*

Bebucho Q Kuia*!!
The beloved fat one! *translation*
:ohlawd:

*- In deep Angolan slang (from the capital Luanda)The beloved fat one is also a term used to describe babies, thus the artist doing the sucking-thumb motion in some parts of the video.

Ways to use the expression:

"Aye breh, I heard your girl came through w/ the beloved fat one!:salute:"
"Can't go out tonight breh breh...the beloved fat one.:guilty:"

There was a thread with classical African music and instrumentation not this Americanized hip hop African music (afro house, hi life or w/e this genre is called). Can't find it at the moment. Some fantastic music in that thread.

I really like the song from the Ugandan singer in the OP though.

African music is very diverse its very difficult to box it in. It is easier to divide it between the contemporary styles influenced by American music and traditional styles of African music, there is something for every taste
. It is easier to find traditional African music under the general "World Music" category in western countries like the UK. Artists like Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Salif Keita, Oliver Mutukudzi, and Ali Farka Toure among others tour a lot in Europe and eat good.
The contemporary type is dominated by artists from English speaking countries IMO and with the exception of the DRC and Ivory Coast to an extent which have been actually influential in spreading their sound and dance to other African countries.

I remember this song when MTV Base Africa first launched

I like some Nigerian Afro pop but they like autotune heavy

Old school kwaito

Angolan music quite underrated IMO

Zangalewa (Cameroon)-popular in many countries and was used as the 2010 theme song albeit remixed by Shakira

Another popular hit on the continent
