They made me interview with the schools lawyer about my record. It happened so long ago that I honestly forgot about it until they caught it on a background check. There are specific types of crimes that they just won't allow, such as embezzlement or abuse - so be aware.

I had gun charges. They let me through. Keep working hard bro.

I figure if they let me into school with it I shouldn’t be too worried. I may have discussed my charges on here when I got outta jail and posted a thread but if I ain’t mentioned it on here yet den I ain’t gone mention it.

Wasn’t gun charges but it was a crime they considered violent even tho I ain’t do nun violent.

Being in college for the prerequisites and actually being in the nursing program are different. They did the background check when they received my application to the nursing program.

I get what u saying. Well I won’t be applying for a nursing program until next semester assuming I pass Dese classes. Maybe I can get it expunged by then. I’m going to call Clayton county in Georgia in a few hours and ask them if I can get it expunged early if all my terms are completed because I want to get into nursing school. Or I can ask my PO here in Virginia about it.

But a charge nurse told me I can still be a nurse with my felony, I just can’t work in psychiatric so I should still be able to get into nursing school.

I’m late asl posting dis cuz the new semester already started but ion be on here much anymore. Anyways I made da deans list !!

Lil baccground: I’m 30 years old and originally attended the university of Georgia (go dawgs)! But in my later years I was constantly in and out of jail and spent a semester in jail and never went bacc started working at Amazon.

Well now I’m on older and lil bit more mature and know I want to be a psychiatric nurse. I’m bipolar and schizophrenic which I have displayed on here at times. But I’ve been stable for about 3 years. I’ve been in a lot of psyc wards in Atlanta, chicago and VA and I’ve seen the work psyc nurses do and thinc id be good at it.

This semester I’m taking anatomy and microbiology smh wish me lucc dis anatomy class gone be a bytch, I ain’t too worried about microbiology but I know it’s gone be hard

But whoever woulda thought a felon wit face tattoos would be on da deans list at a respectable school ?!?
