7: League sources say the Warriors are highly active in trade talks involving this selection. But if the Warriors stay put, Bouknight makes sense as a target. Shot creators are easy to find for the regular season, but only the best can carry over that ability to the playoffs. Bouknight can provide a spark as a scorer, and for the Warriors, he’d provide important depth behind Steph Curry.

14: Duarte is a knockdown shooter who could add some much-needed floor spacing to the Warriors. Steph Curry and Klay Thompson can’t do it all. Even as a rookie, Duarte could become the best shooter Steph and Klay have ever played with besides Kevin Durant; his ability to drain 3s is that good. At his age, he could be an immediate rotation player on a rookie contract. What more could the Warriors want if they keep this pick?

Why do people want Beal again?

why would the Beal fit be better than the Dlo fit again?

Haven't looked at the numbers to compare, but Beal is more efficient and better without the ball than Dlo. I don't think a Beal trade makes us contenders, but I think it makes us a better team.

Because Beal used to be a good defender for Washington before he became the #1 option.

Marcus smart is 6’3 with a 6’9 wingspan and 8’3 standing reach; Beal is 6’3 with a 6’8 wingspan and 8’4 standing reach (Plus Popabytch said he thick :dame:).

Secondly, we had the number 1 defense starting 6’3.75 bazemore (similar sized player to Beal) over oubrick after wiseman went down

finally, Beal is a better offball player, scorer, and shooter than dlo

Beal isn’t gonna turn into the defender Marcus smart is.

and it’s just a horrendous idea to trade 7, 14, and Wiggins to Washington. No way that happens. I also don’t see the point of moving klay to the SF position, which would happen if Beal is in.

honestly I don’t believe a lot of what is going on right now, just because it’s smokescreen season/speculation season.

this draft is a 5-player draft. If we got a top 5 pick, this would be more interesting in terms of trades. But we didn’t. I just don’t see Beal getting moved for Wiggins, 2 lottery picks that aren’t very high, and wiseman. It doesn’t make sense

never said he’d be Marcus smart, nor whether we should get him… I was just listing why he’d fit better than dslow

Marcus Smart is living off his past rep. His defense fell off a cliff this past season

He's worth the 14th pick at best

Maybe smart. But Washington isn’t gonna pull the trigger for 3 rookies (wiseman is essentially a rookie). If Beal says he wants out, I imagine teams who really want him can give a better offer than what we have. Hell, Houston and OKC, or the spurs can offer a better deal

I agree, if we want a Smart type pickup, I'd just look at drafting Mitchell who won't be the same, but would be a rookie that could potentially give you what Smart is capable of at this point.

If we're really looking at trades, what are some realistic possibilities? Would NOLA look at possibly giving up Ingram to add to their young core?

Mitchell is a leprechaun compared to smart. He’s more pat bev with more quickness
