Can’t be patient when the core window is closing

Are you cool with a few seasons like last year after Steph/klay and dray? Best case scenario, 3 years of bottom feeding. Worst case, see mid 90s to 2000's Warriors. I'd rather them be competitive in this window, with a shot, with young talent developing at the same time.

This is what I want too, but I don't know that I want us to keep both picks if we're lucky enough to be in that position...but I'm still up on Wiseman.

I just don't see another all star being available and if so it will be completely throwing away the future.

But I've seen enough from Steph to see how great he can be. Add real rookie talent to that and I think we can achieve both.

This will be a true test of the front office.

@Don Homer

:salute:

I'm not locked in on the draft either yet, but it sounds like consensus is that both Jalens would be solid picks if we could get up high enough.

The mocks I quickly looked at have Giddey going early teens...so he may not be a realistic target, but I don't know..

I'm not opposed to a trade, but I'd prefer to keep Wiseman versus someone like Plumlee. Plumlee would be fine off the bench, but Wiseman will be starting material soon IMO and has a much higher ceiling (again, IMO)..

If we could do 1 of the picks (the later one?) and KO for Zo, that sounds reasonable...

I hope we don't end up keeping all 3 of Mulder/Lee/Baze, but we'll see how serious they (the FO) are... I agree, use them for filler if we can line up a nice return..also agree in Smiley/EP/Nico..

Re: Possible vets, I still like GR3, and like I said, I hope Chriss comes back too...Iggy is always welcome back home IMO too...

Woah, slow down on the reps breh

His hands got a lot better right before he got injured:hubie:

I honestly think the game was moving too fast for him but once he started settling in he wasn't bobbling rebounds or passes as much.

So you saying dubs wouldn’t have been competitive had they drafted melo?

He wouldn't push them over the top. However, I think it would be very similar , where we would keep the young guy to develop and remain competitive as our core now ages. This is not a Melo vs. Wiseman discussion, this is keep the young player or trade for a veteran discussion.
