Yep, my grandfather was half Irish. It's fairly common throughout the West Indies, especially considering that most of the islands used to be under British control (duh) but there's also alot of undertone racism that came with it. There still lowkey is, but it's getting better.
For example, in the past you had black people in the West Indies with the complexion of Sean Paul
, that woudn't marry or date(basically have children) with people darker than them, aka brown-dark skin. I could show my family history( generations of all light skin people), but like I said, it's improving down there. There's still some racist undertone, subtle hierarchy attitudes
