I dont see where the 2 are related. Healthcare vs. bank debt could be skewed any number of ways and I doubt that was the reason they needed a bailout. The county I live in recently had one of the largest defaults in us history and that was due to years and years of fund misappropriation, funding personal projects, kickbacks and the like. Most countries with government provided healthcare have a self sustaining model that are almost devoid of any strain on that country's economy. Why because beneath the premise it's the largest business in the world. We have no shortage of missiles weapons and aircraft easily a quarter of what is spent on defense could be rerouted towarss healthcare and nobody would even notice. Then we would be much healthier for it.
