Like I said a LONG time ago, our people split off from gaf while everyone else was just talking about it but still posting there. I've been gone for a long, long time but I was involved enough there to know with certainty that it was ran like shyt and good people and communities got done dirty for the most petty of reasons. The owner destroying ALL of them (and he's currently got his goon staff monitoring PMs as well) is grimy as hell.
We're not competitors to GAF just like we ain't competing with thecoli. Even with the massive influx of people we're more trying to keep people in touch with their friends as they head on to the next site. We're not trying to be GAF 2.0 and this won't encourage us to be either. Maybe some of the people in transit stick around, but its not something we're trying to rope people into. If they like or vibe, cool. If not, all good.
I'm not sure how reset is going to look. People think this site shyt is easy and its simply not...

I think sl&ent is far and wide the best looking forum out of the few splinter gaf forums I've looked at, but cus its coded from scratch it doesn't cover the basics or at least doesn't show them well..
Ill defo be popping up there regardless. I have no interest in ResetEra and from what I can tell about Higher learning, it's actually Neogafs OT run by adults.
Between here, sl&ent and just using an RSS reader again, I'm more than good.

The whole fallout and response has been weird and oddly fascinating. So no discussing of politics whatsoever? Trying to move on like what he did never happened? His site is just gonna suffer a slow death that way instead of a quick one. He should've owned up to what he did, sold the site asap and faded away....but really I don't give a fukk what he does either way, this fukkery is keeping me entertained:shady:.
Man the communities were the only reason to go aside from gaming news (not the posts themselves). Like, some of the tech communities were legit helpful as fukk to read through.

I'll just lurk sl&ent from time to time, I checked it out a while ago and dig the layout, plus I'd rather go there knowing it has black owners.
