They taking too long to swoop in and create a new site if they wanted a mass migration. Brooklyn and Cook had this Coli shyt going the next day after people at SOHH finally had enough of the outtages and we still didnt get everyone to come over.

Eh, I agree to an extent but it's a completely different situation.
SOHH/Project Covo was fully up and running when this forum was created and people migrated.
This reminds me more of what happened when that one thread "stand in the middle of the street and calls out...." you know the rest. The site was completely down and many people (including me) had no idea where to go. We lost a lot of members there that never came back.

Well, now it is. It's been 5 1/2 years so yes I would hope the forum grew since then and isn't just people who migrated from SOHH. I have to think there's more here that never posted on SOHH than did. It's been so long

For sure, the Coli has amazing smileys. So good that I'm pissed I can't use them easily on my phone

I think specifically bought a lot of people over, even though the Coli didn't enough credit for it before it was ran into the ground

I made a post in TLR that you don't want to position yourself at either extreme in this climate but some don't agree. One extreme might be agreeable now but much like GAF eventually those chickens come home to roost. Extreme positions never work because the person upholding such beliefs will never be able to maintain the standards.

On here if someone told the same story people would be like "you gotta take the L"....but when you built a site around supposedly being perfect and so respectful of women....to the point where it's weird and awkward....there's no way to spin that story.

Nah this place was sohh refugee central when it first started. But as soon as people started to realise it wasn't sohh (myself included) they stopped posting as much.

Alot of you old heads stayed but many more didn't come over or didn't stick around.


Migration of communities always cause shyt like this. While I'm sure ResetEra will grow into its own thing, it's never going to be Neogaf 2.0

Neogaf is dead. Might as well make peace with that.

The thing about insiders on Gaf is that you have the group that wants the information and is glad to have insiders but you have another group that has more sway that wants anyone spreading false news to be banned to keep the site pure. As you can guess if someone has early information and shares everything they know of course in some instances they may be wrong or things will change by the time they could be proven right. So you have a group of members in Gaf that will then demand the insider be banned for spreading false information even though in the past they have been mostly right. Now nobody wants to risk losing an account to spread information to some ungrateful b*stards who will look to get you banned if any portion of your information is off.

Even when ****** took down SOHH and it came back as Project Covo the community was never the same.

It's nearly impossible to preserve a community when a site gets taken down.

Neogaf is dead and whatever they make will never be the same.

She didn't give her consent for you to get behind her? Is pulling a chick close to you by the waist sexual assault? Sure, you all could be having a nice conversation and you want to see if making that next move would be okay. But what if she's like nah, chill. No consent. Is that now sexual assault? These dudes are taking up these extreme positions and turning themselves into sexual predators without realizing it. Grinding up on a woman in the club could technically be classified as sexual assault. So like I said, in this climate it's dangerous to stake out a position along the extremes.
