20 minutes later she comes forward with a name, Evilore, the owner of Neogaf.
Gaf mods try to lock and deleted all threads mentioning it but as word spread throughout the forum and on Twitter.
After a while, a mass exodus of mods, admins, users both longtime and recent, people asking for pemabans even thought there were no mods left to ban anyone.
With no mods to police the forum, it turned into utter chaos to a point where it had to be shut down.

This shyt sounded like a mass cult suicide.

Not all AA/AAA games do what indie games do. For example, where are the good AA/AAA arcade-style baseball games like MLB Slugfest or Mario Sluggers? RBI Baseball is garbage. Indies fill that gap. Super Mega Baseball 2 is one of my most anticipated games coming up for that reason.

Arcade-style sports games basically don't get made anymore by anyone except for Nintendo and indie developers. There are a lot of niches that indie developers fill. For example, the best twin-stick shooters are all indie games. No big AAA developer is going to make something like Assault Android Cactus.

Indie games aren't worse because they have lower production values. It's all about gameplay.

Most indy devs can kiss my ass. They make wierd ass quirky games nobody wants to play. Making low budget games that mimic AAA is what they should be doing and they would be making money.

While I won't go as far as this, the 8 bit movement that alot of these indies tried to push gave me eye cancer. I will never be down with that shyt.

Don't care how good your game is. If it looks like I could play it on my game boy, I'm not interested.

And this is why the site will never recover. He lost all those mods and it will be virtually impossible to vet people to replace them on such sort notice. The owner has no way of keeping the site under control anymore. With a core set of trustworthy mods it would be possible but with the mod staff gutted it just won't happen. When the site comes back up the trolls will have a field day.

None of this includes the members that walked away and won't come back if he's involved. At this point the only reasonable thing to do is sell the site to someone else. Maybe that saves it. There's talk that some of the mods are working on a replacement though so if he doesn't hurry up even that would be worthless.

I witnessed that. I'm not sure I feel sorry that he got ran off. I wonder if dude ended up liking Andromeda as much as the previous games or at all. I'm a big fan of the trilogy and wasn't even that upset at the ending it got but to be getting the inside scoop and going "You guys gonna love this game!!!" and then look what happened, shyt ended up being bland as fukk. Even youtuber gamermd who was super excited for Andromeda ended up being with it.
