The industry already knew he liked UAs, just like they know Tyga groomed a UA publicly. And they still like him.

The whole predators being called out has vindicated a lot of people behind the scenes, so they righteously championing Kendrick. But some of these people cheerleading are just like Drake, especially the more powerful elites. I think it's clear he meant something where the best artist or music is determined without politics, which is how most award shows are run - especially the Grammy's.

The politics is exactly why Drake started shytting on the Grammys, and eventually stopped submitting his music. Same with The Weeknd.
