The way for Drake to walk this back is to be diplomatic

first come out and say:

"I ain't even mad at Kendrick, he did great. He's a phenomenal artist and I'm all for helping the art form progress, which he's doing. The people chose him overwhelmingly it seems, so I concede haha, ya know eh ?"

"Admittedly, I did have an issue with Universal seemingly picking sides in the battle, but honestly I've talked with my legal team and we've decided that we will not move forward with the lawsuit any further. I've talked to some people I respect in the industry and it was brought to my attention that this lawsuit was counterproductive to the progression of rap as an artform. I don't want to be the guy to open the door for people to be sued over a rap battle, albeit I never actually sued Kendrick... but I digress. Whatever gripes I have with UMG cannot supersede the progression of hip hop"

Then he needs to be present at the SB, In a suite. Wear shades to hide the inevitable salt he'll be feeling. Nod his head slowly during the performance to appear wholesome.

If Drake won, the same people celebrating in this thread would be saying the Grammy's don't represent rap. FACT.
The rappers rapper was celebrated. Over tge pop rapper that white people got here. Thats all that matters. Same with beyonce winning.

Grannys got it right. You should be happy. Unless....you prefer the non pro black pop rapper that isnt as respected amongst MC's? What does that say about you...

:yeshrug: Drake needs to just drop a dope album. And link up with the people who still rocks with him. Don’t mention the beef or Kendrick. Y’all are crazy if you think his career is over. The RnB album with Party is a great move if it ever comes out.

Drake definitely still has a loyal fanbase that will gas whatever he does. I think his next album will do well but he will never be looked at as that guy ever again. That’s what eating him up right now.

He’s just in an odd spot now since he won’t let it go. I was of this belief but his career will at the least be very different from here on out. Never over though, unless he quits.

My Pops Forever RIP
Damn, industry really rejecting ol boy.

The song was dope but cmon lol cleaning up like this is a clear message. Power brokers not feeling that lawsuit.
We need a retrospective on what happened to all those rappers Kendrick named on Control. Whoever embraced it or shrugged it off, things have gone well for them. The ones who didn't (and it's basically just 1 guy that was mentioned) it ended horribly.
