Nah, it would not be an issue if the ignorer keeps the ignored's name out of their mouths after they put them on Ignore and keep it movin as if they never existed.

And what's to stop the ignorer from going around tryna ruin the ignored's reputation on the site (such as claiming they are and/or not following the Code Of Harlem ) and the ignored won't be able to defend themselves from the accusations due to being unable to see the ignorer's posts?

I don't disagree but we need to expand mod powers and/or add more admins.

There is currently only one active admin, Houston. He's also the only one that can ban.

Mods can only give warning points, and they can only do it in their respective sub-forum.

So if I'm a mod in The Film Room and there's an issue in The Booth....I can't do shyt.

I'm one of the more visible mods so I've had people PM or @ me in TLR with an issue....again, I can't do shyt.

If you add more people via registration without taking all of this into account....it's going to be a clusterfukk.

Mods need to be voted on by each sub-forum, and not have some lifetime position just because they posted a lot on SOHH.

Mods that don’t do anything, shyt-poster mods, mods that aren’t even on here anymore, it makes no sense.

I used to be all for fully opening registration but as time has gone by and society has gotten stupider and more tic tok’d out, I’m not so sure anymore. We’d start seeing Coli smileys and gifs all over the internet, which would then attract other attention on us, ultimately severely handicapping the level of free speech we so casually enjoy today. I’d say bring back old posters who may have re-registered, and have some sort of strict vetting process for brand new members. I like the suggestions mentioned above where they only have access to a new member forum and have to hit at least 200 messages PLUS achieve a respect dap/post ratio, before being allowed in. And we should have mods who’s job is to just monitor that section alone, watching for ppl trying to sh*t-post their way to the minimum, ppl who seem like they might snitch on the site, ppl who espouse extremist non-Black views, etc etc.
