You should need a referral like from a current member or a Facebook/Instagram page.

That way the site doesn't get infiltrated by bots/agents/trolls

Good idea, to add on referral can only be from members that aren't suspected of being agents.
I.e if you have had enough accusations about being an agent you get your referral privileges taken away.

Y'all the ones that are miserable and accusing everybody & their mother of being an agent as if this forum matters in the grand scheme of things I'm just trying to talk sense. Reason this forum is the way it is is cuz for the past 5+ whatever years it's just been the same old people talking about the same old shyt. Nothing new or interesting because we don't allow new users to freshen shyt up. Forums die when they stop getting new users - I used to post on IGN and when IGN stopped promoting the forum that shyt turned into a ghost town. Hip-Hop forum went from being active enough to get on Complex Magazine's list of biggest hip-hop communities to no new posts since like 2019 and most of us now either post here or keep in touch in a Twitter DM thread.

Same shyt's gonna happen to The Coli but all the old out-of-touch users on here are scared of a boogeyman

I always scroll to the bottom of the page to see if the software has been updated lately. This version of XenForo hasn't been supported since 2019. I'm pretty sure that V2 of XenForo has all the functions folks been looking for.

Here are a few things.

1. Take away thread making privileges for people in the red.

2. Take away the dap system!!!

I think the “daps” gives people incentive to make this place about them with trash posts trolling all day. I can point to so many examples.

I also think it would make for better dialogue with threads and posts because people will be more honest about their opinions not worry about dap fishing and things of that nature.

Nah a dap-free section is cool for genuine discourse, but people need to be able to gauge if they wildin, but #1 should of been a rule to start
