Empire strikes back
I dont think its dumb. you can kill(destroy) a man but you wont defeat (as in he'd succumb to you) him. now whether or not it applies to 49ers is debatable, but nonetheless.Thread title dumb as hell

agreed, if were to get someone from a SB-winning team we lost to, it'd be a wide receiver
so..sidney rice?
I would think he is worth a year, prove it type of deal but I think he may be too expensive for us, but he would work perfectly in our system, assuming he has fully covered from this injuries.
He is cheeks
Like I said IF HE IS HEALTHY.
49ers released CB Carlos Rogers.
The move creates $5.1 million in cap space, and $6.25 million in real savings. Rogers had started every game for the 49ers since Jim Harbaugh became head coach, but is going on 33, and better in the slot than outside. He'll likely have to settle for a one-year deal worth between $2-$3 million in free agency.

The 49ers are among the teams showing interest in free agent CB Nolan Carroll.
We're beginning to think Carroll has the best agent in the biz', considering he's not an especially effective player but multiple "reports" have claimed various teams want him. He's also been linked to the Vikings, Steelers, and Dolphins, among others. The Niners are needy at corner after cutting Carlos Rogers.

Dustin Fox of the Browns Radio Network reports free agent SS Donte Whitner is "likely headed" to Cleveland "when the signing period begins."
The signing period begins Tuesday at 4PM ET. The Cleveland Plain Dealer previously reported the Browns were "very serious" about signing Whitner, who played his college ball at Ohio State and would replace free agent T.J. Ward.
