Go out there and if they put martial law on us and start fukking with the regular black people because of it, y’all need to get dealt with. Well that’s if your bytch ass even survive. Police got immunity to do whatever the fukk they want to black people.
So be stupid and go out there.
You're trying to shift the blame away from the actual perpetrators of violence to the people resisting them.

Pretending protests causes it is just a scare tactic. :camby:

eh...i support certain aspects of respectability politics but the wanting to control the actions of other black people by guilt tripping them with the idea that their actions are going to affect all other black people - is one of the negative aspects that I don't care for.

black people have always been fighters. and if a black man feels moved to fight for a higher cause, he has a DUTY to fight. it is THESE men who secured us our rights. your statement is very reminiscent of factions of the black bourgeoisie during the 60's who felt that the civil rights community was making us look bad on TV and that their protesting and "antics" were doing more harm to the community than good.

there is nuance that need to be had here. this isn't black people acting buffoonish on Zeus network, this is directly tied into the meta-struggle our people have had to endure here. and we have to fight, both on the ground and in high places.

We WILL have to be involved in this at some level, at some point, obviously.

The point is these other races are too accustomed to sitting back and waiting to see what Black ppl are going to do. They need to put some skin in the game and come to the realization that we ALL need to fight for EVERYONE.

White folks have been marching and getting in politicians faces at these town halls and not one of them has been touched.
The police haven’t been going crazy on them because there aren’t a bunch of Black ppl in those crowds.

All hands will have to be on deck for this shyt to end, but White ppl need to get this shyt popping. Not us.

This shyt has been bubbling under the surface forever. Obama being elected is what set this off.

They were ok with this shyt as long as Blacks and Latinos were the ones feeling the pain. When enough of them feel it and realize they are in the same boat…then we might see something
Exactly. Like nobody is telling black people to do nothing, but the onus has to start falling on white people to get themselves out of a mess they created. I did my job in November

No one speaks for us but us though. They always come for us first, and everyone else is silent. A bit silly to make it seem like we should jump up for others, when the heat is on us the others sit back and watch.

So I suggest you guys use that quote in the spaces of other ethnicities, because we did speak up for them by not voting for this neo facist.

Sorry breh, I just don't think the best course of action right now is to sit by and watch the country turn into a white nationalist dictatorship.

I did not say we should never protest. I am saying we need to let them suffer the consequences of their actions and do the heavy lifting first. We have been carrying everyone else on our backs, protesting for the betterment of everyone, while also being still at the bottom. Our issues and methods being used by others to compare their issues to and copy our methods of resolving them. When they want to talk about how poorly they are being treated, they always use us as a litmus test. Have you not noticed that?

So no, they who remained silent when we were the main ones suffering, when we were the main target, should deal with the consequences of their actions. They need to be allowed to be on the frontlines for awhile first.

Edit: I dapped you for your respectful disagreement.

I'm with you. I don't really think people understand what is really at stake. What is going affects the entire world, not just White people.
Micro level: Like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Department of Education, etc. effects everyone. I would argue as a %, cuts to these institutions will hurt Black people more than anyone.
Macro level: Then there is the bigger issue of Trump trying to turn America into fascist White nationalist dictatorship. We have to put pressure on the judicial and legislative branch that the people of this country don't want this. They have to be pressured to uphold the constitution. Otherwise, the very fabric of this country is changed forever.

86% of black people voted for Kamala.

White and Hispanics voted for this idiot.

Why should we kumbaya with these dumbasses and maga apologists for their idiocracy?
Because the effects of Trumps policies hurt us too (probably even more). I don't understand, it's like just because White people will be suffering too, we shouldn't care.

No. We shouldn't care. Until our voices count, we shouldn't be fighting their fight.

We should be gathering together and protecting our own.

We've been fighting for centuries.
