This Cavs team did the east conference proud. The west has a few powerhouse teams (Warriors, Spurs, Thunder) but outside of that IS the West Conference THAT much stronger than the East? Maybe that's a conversation that should be had
Honestly the league is just good all around... No team can be slept on, next to the warriors the pistons were toughest to deal with....the timberwolves and the bucks are not to be played with ...the league is tough period.

I'm happy that Cleveland won but I can't help but to feel bad about Golden State. Curry didn't play like a MVP. He didn't even play like half an MVP. The smash brothers were more like the shyt brothers. Statistically, they weren't supposed to lose a game 7 at home. Not after being up 3-1. I wonder what it was that made them fall apart this off-season. I'm not saying the league is rigged but in all my years of watching basketball, I've never seen have a total meltdown like this.

The suspension, iggy having some back issues, bogut getting hurt, curry was very inconsistent after coming back from his knee injury. Had a great game and then a terrible game kinda regularly. Barnes and Thompson really melted down too. Barnes missed maybe 30 of his last 35 shots and Thompson missed I think 19 of his last 25 3's, many of which were wide open. Barnes was shooting 7 for 23 from deep when open by 10+ feet this series going into tonight.

He needed to go after the 2011 finals. You or me could have done better. Carlisle told Cuban after game 3 when down 2-1 that they were going to win "beacause their coach isn't making any adjustments" and that's exactly why. He loses games off his substitution patterns and rotations alone. He always plays his worst players together for long stretches, and looks dumbfounded when that lineup goes 4-6 minutes scoring 2-4 points. Can't coach with a lead either.
I'd take this over GS death lineup.

And as bad as LeBron was in the 2011 finals. He should have been criticized (u know how media and fans do) for Wade carrying the Heat to title that year while he took a backseat. They could/should have still won that series despite LeBron's off performance. Terrible coaching by Spo.

You're right on all points but the issue is that this is game 7. Everything is on the line. It's win or go home for the summer. Melt down or not, Curry needs to be taking 20+ 3's in that game just to say that he played his game and left it all out on the court. In the regular season, we saw Curry hitting threes and getting back on defense before the ball even went it. We saw Klay knocking down wide open 3's with this eyes closed. Tonight, with the exception of Green, I saw no sense of urgency from Golden State. Curry was playing so timid and trying to force too much. Klay his a couple shots but ultimately never even tried to carry the team once it became evident that Green and Curry were done. Had it not been for Green's unlikely first half, Golden state would have lost by 30.

curry sucked, but kerr deserves a fair share of heat too. they were struggling on offense the past 2 games yet he continued to trot out barnes, varejao, and ezeli to compound how badly curry and thompson were. i thought we were going to see a heavy dose of speights, barbosa, and livingston this game and they played a combined 25 minutes on the floor. ezeli and varejao getting 19 minutes is about as head scratching as scotty brooks continuing to start worthless perkins every game of the 2012 finals.
