Perhaps but the problem is....let’s say Bron retires and AD fails at being the #1 option going forward....let’s see Bron starts declining and AD can’t pick up the slack in the playoffs....who’s effected more but that, Laker fans or the Bron fans who won’t be coming into to threads like this anymore once Bron leaves? Y’all telling us to not care about the future. Kawhi would’ve given us the present and future period.
AD is great but how am I just supposed to sit back like “ah 2021 is no biggie, 18th year Bron will settle into a sidekick role and AD will lead us to a title” that sounds like a guarantee to you?
2020 is our only shot and that’s far from a guarantee like people wanna make it. If all our opps stay healthy it’s gonna be tough

They have a 2 year window to win a ship. Be all in, trust the guys on your squad and come 2021 they'll have plenty of cap room and AD to build around but its just easier to late irrational hate takeover
