Im guessing that was the reason behind meeting Magic and Jeanie. It’s prudent on their part, I mean we made a splash last year with LeBron and shyt still hit the fan. This organization needs to prove its behind the bullshyt now which I think they are.
Plus, I think Magic will keep it a stack about what happened and explain that everything is cool now between all parties.
yeah magic is a straight shooter. He dont have no BS to feed Kawhi. Hopefully they connect and Magic let's him know that even though he personally couldn't work with Rob, he's still a good GM and the AD trade + freeing up cap space proves that.

he is helping and many reports have said that. Considering Kobe talked to Bron months before he signed I can only assume he's been doing the same with Kawhi the last few months. I’d say it depends.
If the Nets weren’t going after Kyrie and were making Dlo at least FEEL like a priority i’d say he wouldn’t wait and just resign.
But in all this talk lately it really seems to me like the Nets are kind of chumping DLO off. Which might not sit well with him seeing as how he led them to the playoffs. He might be willing to wait to return to the Lakers, ball with Bron and AD. Have a nice little “Return Of The Prodigal Son” type marketing campaign, and tell the Nets to kiss his ass.
All of this is predicated on the Lakers NOT getting Kawhi though.

I’m not ready to lay the blame ALL on Magic. If Pelinka was really out here backstabbing and being a typical Cac that ain’t no bullshyt Magic should have had to deal with. The fact that Jeanie and the Lakers are still fukking with Magic says to me that everything he was saying wasn’t complete bullshyt
