I think Kawhi is using the Lakers as leverage to get everything he wants from the Clippers (Private Jets,Games off,etc)..... Why sit down with Magic and Jeanie?.... Wouldnt it make more sense to sit down with the HC and GM.

Looks like easier for us to get D'lo since he is unrestricted (if we miss out on Kawhi)

They have to renounce him to sign D'Lo. Similar situation to what happened to us last year with Randle.

they can renounce any time after and are expected to do so..although Woj just tweeted that they might do sign and trade as well. Minnesota is our biggest competition for D'lo.

And what makes you think the clippers would deny anything to Kawhi if they had a real chance at him? Have you noticed how the whole clippers organization has behaved all season to get Kawhi? Who are the clippers to negotiate from a position of leverage with the Lakers and Raptors as serious threats? What sense does that make?
