Something tells me Leonard is going to stay in Toronto.

*Max contract
*Can sit out 15-20 gms every season without the media/fans complaining.
* No real pressure to win a Championship in Toronto

If I was LA I would focus on signing two 2nd tier players (Butler,Walker etc)....Then use assets to trade for a third 2nd tier player....However,If Kwahi decides to sign with LA, you gotta sign him.

Kawhi dont care about that shyt......people think cuz he quiet that he not super competitive but look how much he improves every season. He wants the win titles and do his thing he just wants the right situation. He can have it all by coming to the Lakers - get to be home with his family and have bron by his side which would be his best teammate of his career.

i dont think the Clips can be that big of a threat when it's established that Uncle Dennis and the rest of the fam want him on the Lakers. Up until now it seems like Kawhi listens to his families direction especially Uncle Dennis. If Raptors flame out the 2nd round he has to come to the Lakers because you can't trust the Clips to build a title team around him. Lakers got drama but pairing with Bron gives you an immediate chance and once Bron leaves he knows off top the Lakers will aggressively pursue a replacement star. Clips aren't proving in that aspect Kawhi would be taking a major risk going with the Clips over Lakers.

I'd throw a bigger than usual bag at Danny Green this summer if that what it takes (need a player like him regardless). Getting him might be the key to getting Kawhi since they're so tight.
Danny Green is cool with Bron too

If the Lakers get a meeting with Kawhi, LeBron needs to be there telling him he will play second fiddle to Kawhi. He'd probably bring Danny Green with him too.
Lol at thinking y'all getting kawhi. Not going to happen. Bum Lakers are done for.

But does Kawhi want the drama though? Clips just have too much noise and Jerry West has a proven record. I do think joining Lakers is a better shot at winning but we are at our lowest point right now as a franchise. And I don't know anything about Kawhi other than he likes to be quiet. I just hope we can at least get a meeting with him and have an opportunity to convince.

There are too many variables that are currently not in the Lakers favor.

*Roster construction--- Why start on a team with two other SF(Lebron, Ingram) when you can be the only SF in the starting lineup?
*Front Office--- Jerry West > Jeanie, Palinka and Magic.
*Coaching--- Doc Rivers > T.Lue,M.Williams etc....
* The current culture of the franchises

My biggest fear is that the LAC are going to acquire A.Davis before Leonard signs his contract. That alone would seal the Lakers fate. When you consider the other factors (roster, front office,coaching)...Do you think Leonard would choose to play with a 34 yr old Lebron or a 26 yr old Davis?

If they get the sign that Kawhi is signing, I'd bet anything they'll try to trade Ingram to Washington in a package to get Beal.

Bron, whether he likes it or not, will make this team best if he's playing PF.

BI can play SG and Bron can play PF. All of them can switch everything on defense. Zo/BI/Kawhi would be a ridiculous defensive trio people including Kawhi himself need to see the potential of that.

Well if they get Davis than they changes shyt. But as it stands now none of the factors you're stating means much when the Clips have been better at the Lakers since Dr Buss died and aint done shyt with it. If Kawhi isn't going to the Clips with another star why go there? Who's on the team thats enticing as the Lakers top 4 players - Bron/Zo/BI/Kuz? Bron is still good enough to be a 1B on a title team. If he joins then you'll have vets willing to join cheap to go for the title run. When Bron leaves he'll be like 31 and we can get another star with him. All his people are pushing him towards us.

As far as FO comparisons.....Clips for Jerry West but Lakers will have Bron recruiting him directly and Kobe will most likely have a talk with him as well.

At the end of the day it's the fukking Clippers :beli: You wanna be in LA, join Bron on the Lakers and go for it. What if they win a title together or even get to the Finals? It'd have a way bigger impact than whatever he does on the Clips. No one gives a fukk about them. Literally no one in LA cares :pachaha:
