He may deserve a job... but I'm totally against hiring a coach just because he's buddy buddy with lebron...

I think Monty Williams is the right choice, but we still need to move Lebron because there will never be any trust between him and the rest of the team again after last season.
Monty Williams has been super mediocre as an NBA head coach what makes him the right choice?

What makes Howard the right choice. He hasn't even been a top assistant in Miami.
I liked Juwan becomes he cames from an organization and lineage of discipline and fitness in Miami. He has a presence that has to be respected. He was a 20 year vet and made an All-Star team in his day. I feel like the young guys and Walton didn’t always see eye to eye. LeBron will also respect Howard, they were on those championship Heat teams together.

Also, he’s been the defensive assistant/big man player development guy on Miami and while he’s been there the Heat have perennially been a top 10 defense.

tbh i think people are looking at Monty as the candidate who is the least tied to Bron. Ty Lue obviously got ties and Juwan got the Miami ties. Monty just got that lil Team USA stint with him. Guys think Monty is the least likely to let Bron "take over" the squad. Plus he has AD ties.

you make some good points about Juwan. I'm always down to hire proven assistant who deserves a shot instead of a retread. He's also young so if he succeeds he can stick around in the post-bron era. The #1 thing is Bron and the young guys respecting him so if he can demand that I'm wit it.

Monty had one year with Chris Paul, they made playoffs..after that they had a tanking team for the next few years..won't judge that. In his last year, Eric Gordon and Holiday missed tons of games but he still made playoffs and was fired. He's been around on several good teams the past few years as an assistant. He was assistant to LeBron's USA team and worked with Ingram as well.

Juwuan Howard has never been a coach, I hope he gets the job with Cavs..but it would be stupid to put a first time coach on this team. A first time coach should always start with a rebuilding team imo. It would be unfair to him because he would get scrutinized right away for not having enough experience if things don't go right.

Ty Lue is whatever for me, I just think it's too close to LeBron to hire him:yeshrug:

[ESPN LA] “I will say this: I think Jeanie trusts Linda more than any other person there. I think she trusts Kurt (Rambis). I think Kurt is going to be involved in whatever new hire…he gets involved.”

“I’m glad somebody finally wrote (about Linda Rambis), because I never felt comfortable just saying Linda Rambis’ name. But Jeanie and Linda are together running the Lakers. They are running the Lakers. They are joined at the hip. That is Jeanie’s main advisor, lead advisor, director of special operations or whatever the heck it is. But she and Jeanie are operating in tandem.” — Steve Mason

Its time for this old ass white bytch to sell the team. :snoop:
