AD and a older LeBron ain't it if the Lakers have to give up most of the core and replace them with lesser players. Also the entire roster is going to need to be filled out as well. Basically, it's Kawhi or bust. KD ain't coming. Kyrie may flirt around with it but he could never live down joining LeBron after leaving him. Klay is a good piece but he's not someone who can carry a franchise and he don't want that Lakers pressure, he's staying with the Warriors.

It's not the same trade as the deadline ... When AD said he is open to all team...he meant he will go where he wants to either way....no team will touch him...

The problem with Maglinka thinking is do that at the end of the year. There is no need to cut him now, Javale still not getting that much if any increased playing time, cause he out here getting raped still. Could've kept him and adjust the remaining mins between Chandlers and Zu. If it was a roster spot, just cut Beas.
Here is my take, I don't think he asked or implied for them to be traded, BUT he wasn't going to cry about it or say "Nah don't trade them" if they got a superstar. That way he can save face and be like it wasn't me. I think his involvement was talking to AD (probably since last year, seeing that AS pic) and like my main Rich Paul can handle your agent needs and if you're interested I would like having you here as a Laker. What he didn't consider enough probably is that the media going to play it up as he is micromanaging everything.
Out of those choices I would like JVG (If he's in touch with the modern game coaching wise) > Monty (with the right assistants) > Gentry (same as Monty) > Doc (with TLue as defensive coach)
