Agree and disagree, its still wrong on an emotional level, but on a business level if it never came out you are right in saying that, but that’s the risk he took. He pushed that shyt. After their first or at max second offer they should have stopped that shyt and said that “after thinking it over we would rather wait then risk what we have now, we saw real improvements” still kinda fake, but atleast grounded in some reality (pre Zo injury/fully healthy Lakers). Something that says we think they are better than used toilet paper.

Technically he didnt, a reporter called and asked him is it true that AD isnt signing an extension. He said yeah. AD said they talked to the Pels privately about it, so to me it seems like the Pels leaked it to the media to save face and get at Rich Paul. Seems like Rich Paul tried to control the narrative about it once the reporter called him.
