I don't think Penny was better than Kobe. I also know that Kobe couldn't do everything that Penny could, at his level. I also know that while Penny could drop a 40 spot on your head, and maybe even average close to that for a whole series, he wasn't a pure scorer the way Kobe was. So I'm not sure what you're tryna say here?

Nah be he was poised to be that "face" that everyone loves to talk about. He probably had the best line of shoes after Mike (either him or Barkley) and he was all over the TV in commercials for Nike. He would have probably been a 25 ppg scorer though once Shaq left without the injuries though.
