A friend of mine went to the hospital for chest pains in August, and was told he was fine. 3 months later he dies suddenly.

Sorry for your loss but this is all too common. There have been many studies conducted on disproportionate or inferior treatment black men get compared to matched whites. We are not offered surgeries or appropriate medical care because of biases. Same applies to women with breast cancer or complicated pregnancies. We can’t be passive. Need to do research and get answers. If not find another doctor.

Damn RIP :snoop:

just by the title alone I knew your friend was black, when it comes to black men and women we have to get lucky enough to have a really good black doctor or get multiple opinions when it comes to doctors because one usually ain’t enough if they white or Asian doctors

R.I.P to your homeboy

What was the official cause of death? Hypertension been taking black men out like a muthafukka
Not yet. It was election day and he had gotten off early from work. His wife came home and found him unresponsive on the couch. She, nor the paramedics could resuscitate him. His family is thinking it was a heart attack.

My mama was telling me a week ago about3 folks she know don dropped dead within the last 6 months. These were people who make regular doctors visits, 1 who was real health conscious, all in there 50s & 60s
We have to be proactive with advanced testing because it seems like primary care doctors aren't looking at risk factors.
