I agree with this. It's safe to say comic book movies have surpassed being just a trend like vampire or zombie movies. As long as there's a wide variety of characters and storylines they can explore, they can keep making them and people will pay to watch.I think people need to accept that the comic book films are a genre unto themselves.
you don't have to see all of them, just like anyone who like comedy movies does not see every comedy movie that drops per year.
and I mean let's be honest: me personally I am not even gonna waste my time with the movies that are outside of what Marvel and DC will be doing...no interest in Fantastic 4, or Spiderman (until they go back to Marvel).
and who the hell is gonna see Gambit??
Not excited about Black Panther? To be honest, I will see them all. A lot of them sound like they will be more like Redbox rentals for me though. Not all that excited to rush out to the theater for anything FF, X-Men, Black Panther, Doctor Strange or Inhumans.
But, yeah, Marvel & DC are getting dangerously close to a point where people are going to start turning their backs on the superhero genre. It's a few years away, but just wait until these 30+ superhero movies & TV shows start rolling out over the next 6 years. There's going to be a backlash for the level lower heroes' films, at least.
How are zombie and vampires a trend? Theyve been around for decades. Its just the market for them shrinks and expands.I agree with this.
