I mean I get what he saying but no one is forcing people to watch all these shyts. The trend could go down but they spread it out enough to where people won't get burned out.
Once 2016 hits though and their will be movies dropping left and right from 4 different studios i can see the market shrinking.

And all the marvel films are very formulaic. Most comic book films are. And once they start getting more silly convoluted comic book plots?

I think its got 2-3 more years in its current boom period. They wont dissappear but the market will shrink.

i dunno it looks like now marvel is trying to add more substance to these movies. avengers 1 might have been shallow entertainment but age of ultron looks like it's actually about something. same with cap 2, that movie was about something. i imagine civil war (especially with the inclusion of black panther) will also most definitely be "about something".

it looks like the movies are getting better. as long as they maintain a certain level of quality, they should be fine. i think everyone that's been along for the ride so far is gonna stick around until it's all done. maybe infinity war will be the last hurrah, who knows... there's no telling where they could take it after that. secret wars? it really is limitless. maybe imhumans becomes a thing and they expand on that?

but the craze will make it to infinity war, i think that is a safe bet.

Its mostly fans that are saying this. I talked to casuals and they seemed excited about the news.

To be honest, I will see them all. A lot of them sound like they will be more like Redbox rentals for me though. Not all that excited to rush out to the theater for anything FF, X-Men, Black Panther, Doctor Strange or Inhumans.

But, yeah, Marvel & DC are getting dangerously close to a point where people are going to start turning their backs on the superhero genre. It's a few years away, but just wait until these 30+ superhero movies & TV shows start rolling out over the next 6 years. There's going to be a backlash for the level lower heroes' films, at least.

I think people need to accept that the comic book films are a genre unto themselves.

you don't have to see all of them, just like anyone who like comedy movies does not see every comedy movie that drops per year.

and I mean let's be honest: me personally I am not even gonna waste my time with the movies that are outside of what Marvel and DC will be doing...no interest in Fantastic 4, or Spiderman (until they go back to Marvel).

and who the hell is gonna see Gambit??

Video was kinda retarded because he lumped every Marvel movie into one category.

I can't speak on any non-MCU movie, because those will be made or broken by their own merits....but as far as the MCU you'd think people would realize by now that people go see those movie because they lead up to an "event" movie like "The Avengers", or more recently "The Infinity War". And if this dude thinks people will be :manny: "eh, I'm done with comic movies" before "The Infinity War" 1&2 drops he's on crack.

Fred.
