Yeah, it's kind of frustrating that a lot of people just don't get this.

I'm progressive leaning on most policies myself, but people on the left are infuriatingly naive continually thinking they're going to win over these conservative white voters with economic policies. We've seen over and over that people will vote against their economic interest just to shyt on "the other".

I'd love to have true universal healthcare, but that's almost impossible to pass in ethnically diverse countries because people would rather go without than risk their taxes paying for the healthcare of a black person or immigrant. It shouldn't be that way, I hate that it's that way, but it is.
people keep elevating “working class” like its some universal good. Sometimes you gotta let the elites run it :sas2:

Going on and on about this trans stuff is the definition of missing the forest for the trees.

It's about white/Christian supremacy.
calling Latinos racist, wannabe cacs is not the winning strategy that you think it is :yeshrug:i'd suggest changing it

Stfu. No one is talking about that. :what:

Working class issues you fukking idiot.
Wrong.

Dems are now calling out how trans issues are affecting the environment of political discourse. It’s over for the weird shyt. People dont talk about other issues when they think you’re defending goofy shyt.

Democrats are losing due to white resentment and culture wars. We just have to admit what it is and stop being naive.

I'm all for economic populism but most white people just aren't going to vote for this type of stuff, no matter how you package it, if minorities also get it. Obamacare literally is hated just because it was passed by a black president.
Yep, this is spot on, especially when you look at our political reality. The idea that Democrats are losing because they're not offering anything to the working class misses a deeper issue: deep-rooted racial and cultural resentment. The hope that economic populism could bring working-class voters together across racial lines sounds great in theory, but it hits a wall in practice.

We've seen that for a lot of white voters, if a policy helps Black people too, they're less likely to support it, no matter how much it might help them personally. You only have to look at the ACA, for example. It wasn't disliked because it wasn't as broad-reaching and effective as medicare-for-all, it was disliked just because it was tied to a Black president (Obamacare). It shows that this isn't just about policy; it's about identity and perception. So, when Democrats try to pitch ideas for economic fairness, they're often undermined by these cultural divisions. This makes it feel like a dead-end. No matter how good the policy is, the fear that it might benefit Black people just ends up blocking progress.

This working class nonsense has been a fukking canard since 2016 and I’m not buying it. Social media is driving people insane, not their economic conditions.

I find it funny socialists wanna talk about economics all of a sudden as if that wouldn’t demand they drop the marxist socialist shyt and actually react to market conditions and points where pressure can be applied. i.e. CAPITALISM.
