Revisited this recently, kind of a bullshyt album imo, That Chris Brown joint especially sounds like some parody Chappelle's show shit

The first two songs are aight
The middle three are bootycheeks
The last 3 are hip hop classics

I don't think you could honestly say that a Chris Brown feature or a Future feature isn't trendy. These are artists who appear on singles. They were go to guys for a single or feature. That is the epitome of trendy.

If he made like a bottles and clubs song with Chris Brown, that would be different. Sweet Serenade is some street shyt.

Trendy feature, though, that's true.

Sweet Serenade was always dope me, still play it sometimes. Doesn't feel like an attempted cross over, despite the feature.
Power producer was a pusha fan.
Cant look back and sweet serenade was their anthem when action was about to pop off lol

Certain people will be in their feelings but he's right. Pusha is never gonna get a hit song with some trendy two minute track, he's never gonna go viral with a relationship track, he's never going to have a club anthem. So why chase it when you can just make good music, with the best producers imaginable. Lot of dudes in the game need to learn that lesson, frankly. In fact, the vast majority of rappers over 40 need to understand this.

Jim Jones is out here making generic Madden music instead of doing anything that sounds halfway decent, or like he's halfway invested in it.
Next to Nas, Jim jones has had one of the best late career revivals in rap history. What are you talking about?

"Wasted Talent" is full of good songs but I guess it wasn't lucrative enough for Jim so he went back to trend hopping
It’s like people forgot this. What Nas did with Magic and Kings Disease is what Jim Jones did when people have completely counted him out.

Jim is hotter now musically than ANY member of the diplomats and easily 80% of his era. Dude had a massive hit with the Migos, Maino, and numerous local artists. Even has new talent he’s elevating.

Imagine if Robert Horry started talking shxt about how he never had to chase a super team like the NBA stars of today do. That would be equivalent to how Pusha is talking right now smh. Push just lucked up and was able to get unlimited Pharell and Kanye beats just like Robert Horry lucked up and played for the Rockets, Lakers and Spurs all when they won championships but was never the main guy or even close to it. At this point he is appearing to be delusional cause like I said in another thread he hasn’t brought anything revolutionary to the rap game. He would be Benny the Butcher at most if he didn’t have world class production and curation throughout all of his albums.

The original didn’t have Chris brown on it. Didn’t need him. He was chasing a hit

:russell:getting tired of this nikka bragging about not chasing stuff he could never attain. Dude worked with some of the GOAT producers and still carved out a mediocre career.

This. And Push is home team and all but what is he even talking about

If not for Pharrell and Kanye, and beefs with Wayne and Drake , push would be closer to where other secondary early 00s rappers are: Beans, Ghost, Rae, etc. Most of them are not ‘on’

Push talks like he was an A level elite rapper he was not. He has benefited tremendously from attaching to others
