I hate that stat. It doesn't mean much without a denominator telling us how many game winning opportunities they had.
Found this. I guess it helps? Herbert record 27-26. So he had a chance in around 30 games and only won 14 of them.

The mark of a great QB stat is when Kirk Cousins & Derek Carr are 1st and 2nd
Also a completely washed up, noodle armed version of Big Ben is on the list :russ:

Yeah, not the best stat. That means you aren't blowing teams out.

Over 50% of JH's wins are from game-winning drives.

Compared to the career game-winning drive leaders: Brady, Manning and Brees. Their % is more around 15-20% while Mahomes is around 17%.

It's actually a much worse number when you compare it to the amount of wins.
Game winning drive wins / total wins
Tom Brady: 58/286 = 20%
Peyton Manning: 54/187 = 29%
Drew Brees: 53/172 = 30%
Patrick Mahomes: 15/69 = 22%
Justin Herbert: 14/27 = 52%

It can't be a habit otherwise it means they aren't improving. You can't have most of your wins being last minute drives. It's not sustainable.

I'm sure that number will come down, but it needs to fast while dude is about to enter his prime and the next wave of QB's start making noise.

That's because the average fan doesn't realize that qb's often times help create they own "4th quarter comeback".

Like instead of blowing a 4 touchdown lead and losing in the playoffs, had he won it in the 4th he would have had his 15th comeback.:pachaha:

Just an all around awful stat. It write up there with people showing still shots of a receiver wide open ignoring the fact he the 3rd read on the play and the QB is looking at the second read who is also open:mjlol:

Yeah the only other option is to find what he's really like with better coaching.

Unfortunately, it'll probably be his third coach in 5 seasons.

I really didn't understand the running philosophy by both teams last night. Pollard and Ekeler aren't between the tackles runners like that, why aren't you designing runs to get them outside, run a pitch or two for god's sake

Kellen Moore has had the second most productive offense for points and yards since he became an OC. Only Mahommes and Reid are better in that stretch.

I don't know how you going to get better than that for an OC. If he can't make it work with Kellen then it aint going to work.

Dallas literally went from best red zone offense in football to bottom 6 redzone offense in football when Kellen left.

Why do you believe it's coaching and that this is just who he is? Dak gets shyt on constantly but for all his faults, he's came up big more times than Herbert yet folks will say the Cowboys need to move on from him. So why does Herbert get the luxury of folding in crucial moments and the blame going to the HC?

The one time I really liked that stat was Joey Harrington on the Ducks, cause he had something like 3x as many 4th quarter comeback wins as he had total losses.

Didn't do shyt for his pro career though. :russ:
