Anyway most of history falls under the "dictatorship" definition, it would only depend what kind of dictator we're talking about. Most countries have developed themselves under authorian rule, whether we call it a monarchy or a dictatorship.

im just saying individual freedom is how they should be judged, but just the fact that you asked that question and included dictators kinda shows that individual freedom is not your criteria for "great years" it seems you have some other criteria for calling a nation great

People who value the system we have in place in America to its core would keep the presidents no matter how shytty. People who are more concerned about living comfortably wouldnt care if the system was completely torn down in favor of 50 years of rule from 2 men from 1 party or family. The thread is a mental excercise to help me determine if people are patriots or more concerned with what they get out of the system they live under.

Rulership by 1 person with basically the same freedom you have currently instead of voting every 4-8 years. Im gonna throw in a twist shortly. I just want to see what page everyone is on first.

Individual freedom is a specific concept, its not freedom to fuk or play video games or listen to rap music

It's specific concepts like freedom of speech, free press, right to privacy, right to a fair trail, but it also includes the right to choose your leaders, so if the criteria is individual freedom then a country run by a dictator can't be great

Im surprised at how many people answered dictator. That's hustling backwards, a constitutional republic with democratically elected officials is always superior than a monarch or dictator. If the people are not happy with the shytty presidents they can elect them out of office, impeach them, or overthrow them. If youre not happy with a dictator that's most likely not gonna happen. And it will likely end with you getting imprisoned and/or executed.
