Frank has held All-Star talent guards like Wall, Paul, Russell to 0 points in over a dozen possessions.

Best P&R defender in the NBA...

He’s a transformative piece on defense as a 19 year old rookie he will only get better as he gets stronger and more acclimated with the NBA.

He showed promise offensively as a C&S guy and P&R maestro, his dribble pull up and post fade need some work but they’re in his arsenal.

This off-season for Frank should be about developing his body and working on his offensive moves.

-dribble pull-up
-dribble jab (study Damian Lillard/LBJ/CP3)
-floaters (study Tony Parker)
-euro step (he needs this as a lanky nikka like a Giannis)
-C&S against hard closeouts (want him to be a dead-eye C&S guy like Kawhi)
-Ball handling (this will completely open his game up)
-Post moves (study Penny Hardaway half spin, Shaun Livingston shimmy and post turnaround, Kyrie Irving)

Frank actually has similar strengths and weaknesses as Lonzo Ball.

Both are tall lanky guards who lack the physicality and aggression right now, both can defend multiple positions really well on-ball off-ball and P&R and rack up steals, both are swing passers with + court vision who like playing off-ball in the half court, both love to push the ball forward to teammates on the break and throw outlets, both have potential as shooters but haven’t found their strokes.

Lonzo just has a lot more athletic burst right now and will likely always be the better athlete and isn’t scared to chuck threes.

Get rid of a 6'7 point guard to draft a 6'2 guard that would be a bigger gamble than Frank brehs :snoop:

If they're playing him at the 2 to show his versatility to other teams then they're just devaluing him, but it's the Knicks so it doesn't surprise me :heh:

Perry/Mills trying to get their guys theory makes sense but their guys are just a 4 year older versions of Frank that play worse defense :pachaha:First they tried to get Elfrid Payton and then they got Mudiay. Both can't make a jumpshot to save their lives.

The fact that Trey-I is not starting over Mudiay is a travesty.

Chill, drafting Sexton, SHOULDNT mean giving up on Frank. Having two combo guards is where the league has been going quietly for a minute now. He could play the Jason Kidd role that secretly made that ‘12/‘13 season’s offense so potent.

Imagine the fukkery if Trey Young ended up a Knick :merchant:

With Mark Jackson and Trey Young in NY Stephen A Smith could go on a soliloquy every day. Plus he has to fill up 5 hours of radio so I don't really blame him.

Not sure why son is so hated and disrespected.

Efficient high volume three point shooter, one of the quickest first steps and best crossovers, can run P&R and play both guard spots, solid on-ball defender. And lastly dude is tough as nails and got that dog in him. He’s a pedigree player.

I dont think he's better than Hardaway. Sorry :yeshrug:

Agree to disagree :manny:

Sexton is Jeff Teague with a motor, a lil Patrick Beverley in him.

Young Bul not the answer.

We need wings. Can’t have Courtney Lee and Hardaway playing the 3. Skinny ass nikkas. :mjlol:

Can’t have Lance Thomas playing major rotational minutes. And LT my guy but he’s a 10-15 minute, low end 3&D, locker room presence team pedigree breh.

Makes no sense to draft Sexton or Young. Ntilikina is the PG of the future, Mudiay will be here next year, and Trey Burke has earned a spot on this team could potentially be a dope 6th Man.

I can’t believe they’ve just given up on the kid without even giving him a fair shake. Am i missing something? Is he THAT BAD... we all see the potential. If this was next season and there was NO improvement and they were thinking about giving up on him than i can at least understand that but come on...
Im late to reply but everyone else covered what i think about the situation. If the Knicks trade him then it shows the front office is impatient, and frankly it'll make me worried that shortsightedness will seep into future Knicks moves. I think Frank can be special and is one of the most unique prospects in the league, he's raw, but he still has great vision and shows signs of being an elite defender one day, it'd be a shame to see him traded.

I think for us it will go down to Knox or Bridges. Bridges is the safe pick, will be a 10+ year pro. Will defend with a 7’2 wingspan, will cut off-ball, will hit threes off C&S. A lot like Otto Porter/Khris Middleton/RoCo, tough Philly kid, with Villanova pedigree, might come out with two national titles and 3 years college experience he’ll be ready to produce from day one.

Knox is the higher upside player, younger, naturally talented with all the tools of an elite combo forward, but raw and lacking motor.

He’s 19 and still growing, he’s nowhere near where he needs to be physically and his height is increasing. We could be looking at a 6’7 guard with a 7’2 wingspan.

He’s the top P&R defender among guards and one of the best on-ball defenders he has games with 6 steals. Again kid is 19 give him time. He’s young and p*ssy offensively it infuriates me too but he’s literally a teenager.

He's garbage compared to those picked around him. Cats were hyped about Shump's defense when he was a rookie, and we saw what happened :yeshrug:

I was thinking of Duval as a stash in the G-League guy I don’t think he ready either.

But if we want some insurance with a PG he worth a look in the second round. 6’3, 6’9.5 wingspan. 1st round talent that will likely go 2nd round.
