I only watched the first half, prolly leaving work early so I'll have a bit of time to peep the second half which looks like it got ugly...shocker.

Anyway early evaluations for the kids,

Now I didn't stay up past the first half, but I thought Frank's defense was noteworthy from jump even with the soft foul calls limiting him. I think his pace is visibly up since the ASB and he just looks more comfortable. He wasn't hesitating on his jumper early in spite of missing a couple and made a nice floater to end the half; anyone notice that floater starting to show up in the lane lately? But defense stood out from the jump and if not for some soft calls it looked like he was coming out the gate aggressive there. That opening run his (and Lance's) defensive play sparked some transitions that ended in points.

Mudiay looks lost out there, there only promising flash I got was when he drove and bodied Lillard for that and-one. There's so much to fix between the ears that his athleticism feels like it's gonna go to waste but if it ever did click for him...he could be useful. Luckily, we're playing for losses right now and have little playoff hopes next season; so we can afford to run him out there and see if he figures it out.

Burke had a bad first half, shot wasn't falling for him and Portland denial had him resetting more than usual. His willingness to take the lane helped though.

Dotson came across as wanting to contribute but not being sure how to go about it. I like his defense, the jumper looks clean and nice but he's another youngster that's not putting the tools all together. I'm hoping consistent minutes or just better coaching will boost his game in the future. He has the tools to contribute NOW.

THJ was really stepping up and being aggressive. I expected a much better statline when I woke up this morning because he looked poised to have a really productive game.

My Pops Forever RIP
I'm sorry, breh.

There's been a miscommunication.

I was just saying that I want whatever system allows for the most amount of organizations - from exec to player - to put out a product that is being as competitive as possible.

Again, I'm not saying that players are missing shots. I'm also not saying that unless execs are willing to trade draft picks for an over the hill Vince Carter is trying to be competitive that year either.

I'm saying that at the start of the season, I'd like a system that ensure that if you go to a game, the product that's presented is first and foremost there for the entertainment of those who've paid their money to see the games. After which, a sliding priority scale with other important things - such as player development, going for playoffs, showcasing tradeable player, etc.
You don’t wanna be competitive though. You want that ring. Sports (because this isn’t just a basketball problem anymore) has that “you ain’t shyt if you didn’t win a ring so do whatever you have to in order to get a ring. Nothing else will be worth the time.”

As I’ve said many a time, the paying customer doesn’t give a damn about your plan. They just want you to win that night.

These nikkas are wild. :dead:

Give me the 90s and I'd take that before I take a 1 chip.

Now, if I could get both... Sure.:ehh:

Another sell-low candidate.

:beli:

Man, Dotson was never given a fair shot at all this season. He's one of the few guards/fowards on the squad that's competent on both sides of the court, and they gunna just end up tossing him away for scraps.

:to: that shyt aint right, it aint right at all

Was at the game last night. Its dope Frank got the start & was playing some good aggressive defense despite the weak ass calls he was getting. Mudiay needs to be behind Dotson in the rotation. Hornacek needs to be fired sooner than later. His rotations are still trash & our offense moves to inefficiently & doesn't actually create any openings
