Yeah y'all being unrealistic. Dotson still has to prove himself. I WANT to see the kid, but I don't think it's realistic to say he HAS to play over McDermott or Beasley and he's not gonna play the point

While we look for PG depth, I'd throw our second two-way contract at Wade Baldwin if he clears waivers...numbers were ugly last season but he's a combo guard with defensive ability who might improve with a humbling experience like getting released and as far as players with potential go; they're mostly signed already.

Higher potential not ceiling; as in Lee is at his ceiling while Dotson's is unestablished. Dotson figures into our long term future as a young player and thus needs minutes and developmental focus. Lee and others who do not should either be dealt if serviceable (or better in Lee's case) and benched if they aren't. Dotson doesn't need minutes ASAP because he's better than guys, he needs minutes to find out how good he can be and start laying out the foundations for what our team will be 3, 4 and 5 years from now when KP and the rest of the youth are just hitting their primes.

You're saying a more fleshed version of what I'm saying except I'm saying he needs to prove it in the minutes he's given. I think veteran play that CAN play is an important resource for young talent. Lee is pretty much the only player I prefer for that role

Because Dotson has to show that he's capable of outplaying them for minutes. Either in practice or on the court. Give him minutes and if he forces you to play him, then he forces you to play him. If not then we get rid of all of them and look for a capable 3

I disagree with Beasley having a Derrick Williams vibe all season. Beasley is far more polished as a scorer. Dude is talented. I believe he can give you 20 ppg in over 30 mins a game. DWill is an athlete. That's it.

Baker doesn't matter lol. The fact that much talented players who are the same age as him like Trey Burke and Chasson Randle were cut while he has a $9M contract is a god damn joke.

Also, Dotson needs to earn his minutes. Lee is probably getting traded when the happens minutes will open up for him, Dotson is way older than I thought too. McDermott is only 25, if he can be a Kyle Korver type player I think he could be part of our future.

I suppose it's not all that bold, but I feel like most fans are underestimating him, or at most expecting him to be crazy inefficient if he puts up 20+, I think he'll put up 20 and be pretty efficient while doing it.

but he's here, hes young, and making money so hes gotta matter some what
horn likes him as a person so made sure he got a few extra million
only assumption i can make cause it damn sure wasnt for basketball reasons
